“Best hostel so far”
We've stayed at a handful of hostels, and this one was - BY FAR - the best. CLEAN bathrooms, quiet rooms on a side street of a fantastic district within 2 minutes of the bus line and a great running park, a simple breakfast provided, but right next door to a small market if you wanted juice or other things to store in the fridge. FREE WiFi and Parking! Loved it!!! We plan to go back to Poland again and we will certainly stay here!
“Helpful and friendly staff at a spotless hostel”
We were a little daunted at the prospect of staying at a hostel, especially as the group consisted of two seniors, 1 adult and 1 child. However the secret garden exceeded our expectations, with its friendly and helpful staff along with a spotlessly clean kitchen. The difference between a hostel and a hotel that we stayed in during our trip was the personal touch the secret garden brought us. We made friends with people from all over europe and all ages were staying there, we did not get this touch in a hotel. I would recommend the secret garden to anyone, as they do an excellent job of making it a home from home.
“Would stay again”
I wasn`t sure about to book this one due I had never stayed in a hostel before and I can say that this was realy great. The breakfast is OK and big plus internet for free. Staff extremely helpful, specialy a representative named Joana. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to walk to main square but it`s a very pleasant walk, it`s safe to walk late at night in these streets.
“A top rate hostel”
We have stayed in many hostels throughout the world but I can honestly say the Secret Garden is one of the best. It is very nicely decorated, well maintained and very clean. A free breakfast is included comprising of cereals, yogurts, cold meat, cheese, tomatoes, toast, butter and spreads plus coffee and teas which are available all day. It is situated in the Jewish Quarter of the city close to the river, good restaurants and approximately a 15/20 minute walk from the central market area. The staff are very nice and extremely helpful. Trips can be booked here and bikes are available on site. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return sometime.
“AMAZING!”
krakow was amazing and so was this hostel the staff were friendly and helpful, they allowed us to check out late, due to too a late night and too many shots of vodka the night before! breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it! 10 minute stroll to the main market square, and plenty of bars and cafes in the local square! 5 minute stroll to the river, and the flosting pub! after 6 years of travelling the world i can honsetly say this is THE best hostel i have ever stayed in! only thing that might turn people off, is you have to share a bathroom, BUT ther are 2 bathrooms on each floor, so we didn't find this to be a problem! I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Excellent value for money!
“Fantastic price, fantastic location”
Great hotel, not at all what I would associate with the word 'hostel'. Located in the Kazimierz district of the city, a leisurely 10 minute walk from the old town. Friendly staff, clean and convenient.
“Great hostel”
This hostel is a very short tram ride from the main station (only 5 stops) and is on a very quiet street. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are colorful, pleasant and clean, and the bathroom is very modern and spotlessly clean. On the ground floor there was a ratio of 3 bathrooms to 4 rooms so it felt like we had a private bathroom and never encountered anyone else using it at the same time. The hostel is very close to the guidebook recommended Jewish sector of the city with a lot of lively restaurants and bars. The included breakfast is simple and good with cereal, toast amd filter coffee. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend.
“Great value”
This is a great value for a base in Krakow. It's quiet, well kept, and there are plenty of private bathrooms. It didn't feel like a hostel at all!
“Lovely quite homely hostel, had the best two nights sleep of the whole holiday!”
Clean and modern hostel, plenty of clean bathrooms, common rooms/ lounge was also good. The inclusive breakfast was self service and was just what was required. Reception also organised our trip to Auschwitz, will stay here again if in Krakow, thank you!
“Great little youth hostal”
Very clean, helpful staff and within easy walking distance of the town centre.
