“Beautiful location”
You need a car, or the owners offer transfers from the airport for 30 euros. Great place for families, as they have rooms with a separate 'upstairs' bed space. Restaurant offers good quality basic Italian food - pizza, pasta, bruschetta. Paninis, ice creams served from the pool area. Great pool with more than enough sun beds/umbrellas. And wonderful views, up to the mountains and down to the sea. Hope to be back.
“A gem”
This place is a gem! A sporting complex in theory, but that doesn't take away from a pleasant setting in the hills above Nice, a welcoming bar/restaurant in the old farm building above an excellent swimming pool and a hotel block with superb views of the countryside. There are great hill towns such as Vence, St Paul du Vence and St Jeannet in easy reach...not to mention Nice and the coast. Add to that a team of welcoming, genuine staff, and you have one of the bargains of the Cote d'Azur! Oh - and if you fancy a spot of tennis or squash then this is heaven!
“Very relaxing with great views”
Quite easy to find if you have the right directions, but you need a car. Great service. Staff were very friendly and very helpfull. Would definately go back!
“Gorgeous location and really friendly little hotel”
We stayed here for 5 days, as the second part of our honeymoon, and really loved it. It is pretty far out in the sticks (65 EURO from Nice train station), but once you get there it is so peaceful and such sweet little place. The staff are friendly, loads of cute farm animals to look at (goats, rabbits, chickens), nice pool, and fab if you are a tennis fan. I would recommend hirng a scooter - we hired a pink one! You are then able to go all over the place - loads of pretty little towns to see. The food was lovely, although it was mainly pizza and pasta. Home grown tomatoes and pesto were very tasty! And the views - just amazing....
“A very friendly staff”
Lovely hotel, but very difficult to find. They need to place better signs and make sure that you have good directions to get there. Nice is not so close. If you are interested in staying in a sports village then you will love this hotel
“An absolutely fantastic place to stay!”
This hotel was absolutely lovely. Our room was just as the one pictured, all completely new with new shower and bathroom. The view from the balcony was spectacular and the sunset made a really nice warm glow in our room. The receptionists spoke good english - without whom we probably would never have made it to the hotel as we got so lost!!! If you are driving, make sure you email the hotel before you leave for a map, Sat Navs do not find the address listed, wish we had payed attention to one of the previous reviews about this before we left!! The hotel restaurant was nice for dinner, and the breakfasts served here were worth the additional cost, plenty of fresh fruit, yoghurt, fresh pastries, cereals, fresh bread for toasting. Very lovely, and you can sit overlooking the pool - which is free for hotel guests to use. We had a short drive to Monaco, Nice and Cannes as we had our own car - in all, I would say this was probably the best place we stayed for our whole trip around Europe.
“Loved it!!”
The hotel took a bit of finding as the address did not come up on the GPS. We really enjoyed our stay, playing tennis and swimming in the pool. It is an upmarket leisure complex for the local residents with the hotel at the edge of the grounds. It was very peaceful and we found the breakfast to be very good and the children only paid half price. It is a long way 'up the hill' from Nice but a lovely place to get away from it all!!! We would go back for another short break.
“Good Service”
Nice hotel with good pool, restaurant and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.
“Absolutely stunning location...”
Nestled above the hills above Nice this resort in La Gaude offers amazing views and facilities (incl a beautiful pool). The staff is very courteous. The food is great.
“Good stay”
Nice and quiet location.
