“Marvellous Service”
My colleagues were late arrivals but the staff waited for them and kept the restaurant open . Service above and beyond the call of duty. This hotel is now on my preferential list should any business colleagues travel again in that area again.
“Great hotel with very helpful friendly staff”
We stayed here for 4 days in sept 2011. The hotel is in a very pretty location, with views into the mountains. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had to catch an early train on the morning we left and they even started breakfast half an hour early to accommodate us. The restaurant is busy and the food is excellent, although slightly pricey, but this is Switzerland and you expect that. The 20 minute bus ride from Lucerne bus station is picturesque, travelling along the side of the lake. Buses are every half hour and start early in the morning .The ferry terminal for the boat to pilates is a pleasant 15 minute walk from the hotel. if you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel, away from the buzz of Lucerne, then this is the hotel for you
“Comfortable, clean and friendly”
Very happy with our stay. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fresh and plenitful. Our only issue was the heat. The fans in the room weren't quite enough to cope with the heat.
“COMFORTABLE HOTEL”
hotel was comfortable and quiet, ideal for a relaxing stay, staff were friendly and helpful the food very good, though a little expensive. still worth going again. Reccomended.
“Rural location close to Lucerne”
The hotel is situated in a very pretty location on the final outskirt of Horw, with chalets and cows with bells nearby, and a view of Mount Pilatus from the dining terrace. The room was functional and clean, though rather characterless. The evening meals are rather expensive, though the enormous main course was enough. NB The hotel is listed as 'garni' but was doing evening meals in high season. The hotel is very good value compared with Lucerne, and there is plenty of parking across the road. A good place for a stopover or a few days, but have an evening meal elsewhere.
