“Great spot for a relaxing holiday with young children”
We took a holiday at the Meritus in Langkawi with our 1 year old daughter. She had a ball. The hotel is ccomfortable and clean and a choice of two pools is a great relief from the heat and humidy of Langkawi. The hotel is a close walk to a strip of restaurants and tourist/clothes shops. I would recommend if you are looking for a hotel and holiday destination where you are purely looking for relaxation and nothing more.
“4 day holiday”
The hotel is superb. We had a lake view room, with fish swimming under the deck and birds flying close by. Very picturesque. Superb pool. We opted for a half-board offer which was good value. The restaurants are superb, the Thai especially. Pool, beach and staff cant be faulted. Had a trip from the hotel around the island was also interesting. Would certainly recommend for all age groups.
“Serenely beautiful..”
if you're into a peaceful vacation with the best of everything, there's absolutely no way that other hotel's will top this reservation. Being a travel agent myself, I can truly guarantee an excellent service from this hotel. The place is just magically beautiful, people who's more than accomodating, great food, prices that's completely reasonable .. it's definitely the best place we've been to during the entire asian tour that we've had. Will definitely go back. :)

I stayed in Pelangi for 10 nights this November. The hotel is very nice, cosy and very green, having very big well kept garden. The staff is very polite and friendly. Garden view room I occupied was very comfortable (especially bed with fabulous duvet), clean and well-kept (renovated recently). Housekeeping was very effective. The main pool is very nice. Restaurants and bars are nice as well (and not so expensive as in other hotels of the same class), however, breakfast could be better (i.e. have more veriety). Anyway, I liked every day of may stay

We stayed here on our honeymoon, great location, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, great food.
“Want to go back”
We stayed here for 3 nights during a tour of Malaysia. I should ignore the misleading 3 and a half star rating, the pool, the beach, the room and the location are brilliant. However, they are nothing compared to the service provided by each and every employee, from the guys that chauffeur you around in golf carts if you wich, to the extremely attentive waiting staff to the excellent staff in the business centre. Nothing is too much trouble. You cannot fail to relax, tan and chill out, much more cheaply than anywhere in the Med.
“My third visit”
Fantastic stay. Warm friendly people great service. My one dissappointment was the recepiton area was being upgrade and therefore closed. It was a wonderful first impression to the resort and will be extra special when restored.
