Entertainment
Under a vault of two million light bulbs and employing a 550,000-watt sound system, a four-block pedestrians-only stretch of downtown Las Vegas called Fremont Street Experience presents periodic sound-and-light shows from dusk to midnight. Other day-and-night entertainment on the street includes live music, classic-car displays, and holiday festivals. Like nine other downtown casino hotels, this hotel opens directly onto Fremont Street, creating a lively flow of pedestrian traffic.
Impressionist, singer, and entertainer Gordie Brown is famous for his comedy and impressions of celebrities such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jack Nicholson, and Sylvester Stallone, as well as Las Vegas icons like Elvis Presley and Sammy Davis, Jr.
Dance the night away at Gold Diggers, Golden Nugget's spot for cocktails, DJs, and balcony views overlooking the Fremont Street Experience. Open nights Wednesday - Sunday.
Soft lighting, ornate canopies, and brass chandeliers harkening back to the original hotel's "gambling hall" distinguish the high-energy casino, which offers 45,000 square feet of slots, video poker, video keno, blackjack, craps, roulette, Pai Gow poker, Caribbean poker, and race and sports betting. In addition, the Golden Nugget offers a 10-table smoke-free poker room with daily Texas Hold'em tournaments.
The 24 Karat Club offers complimentary membership cards that reward slot and video-poker play with cash and/or comps redeemable for food, beverages, and discounted guestrooms. Table-game play also earns comps and discounts.

“looking forward to returning”
Our stay was very pleasant and we look forward to when we could afford air fair to return.
“Great downtown stay”
Has been renovated and decore is really great. Excellent service by friendly people. Only complaint was it took 1.5 hours at 10:30 at night to get to hotel from airport using Bell Tran shuttle service. This is normally a 20 minute ride but this was not GN's fault since Expedia made these arrangements.
“Staying Downtown is a good choice”
My husband and I recently went to vegas for the first time. My mother recotmmended the Golden Nugget to us because she really enjoyed her stay there. We are glad we took her advice-- This is a very nice hotel! At check in we were informed by the staff that our Carson Tower delux room was unavailable due to maintainance issues so they gave us a free upgrade to a Gold Tower Suite!. We were right above the casino. Didn't have a great view out the window but, we didn't spend alot of time in the room. It was still a very nice room. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub and found out on the last night of our stay that it didn't work. We notified the staff when we checked out and they gave us a free breakfast. The room was very clean, excellent housekeeping staff. The pool is awesome! You can swim right up to the shark tank in the middle. It was crowded but hey, it was vegas in July-- HOT! We didn't bring our children but- it seemed to be a very family friendly hotel. Maybe will bring them next time. Ate at the Carson St Cafe several times-- affordable, good food. Try the nachos-- they are excellent! There are 2 Starbucks on the property -- visited them several times. The hotel is in a great location-- Freemont Street Experience is right outside the casino entrance. Overall we enjoyed this hotel -- Good vegas experieince without the resort fees of the strip.
“Great Time”
The place was very nice and the room was clean and big. The service was great with both room service and valia parking. Not have to worry about my car was good. I will be going back
“Found our new Vegas favorite!”
My sister and I go to Vegas every year and this year finally stayed downtown. The Golden Nugget was not only artistically gorgeous, it boasted EVERYTHING you want for a great vacation. Not too spread out, affordable and quick dining, spectacular pool and lounge area, pristine rooms and really comfortable beds (really), very friendly staff, fun lounge with good rockin' house band, fun casino floor, and a disco upstairs. It is a quick and short walk to every other casino on Freemont Street, and food and drink is extremely affordable compared to the strip. We will never stay on the strip again, but we will take the bus for $3.00 and visit. There's just something about downtown. Everyone's happy, the atmosphere is much more laid back, and you can have a blast for under $50 bucks all while staying in a beautiful hotel!
“see you again”
great place to stay
“Loved it! Will definetly be back!”
We had a wonderful time @ the Golden Nugget! The service was the best we've had in Vegas, so far! Our room was clean, and the staff were friendly and nice to us. We are recommending this hotel to ALL of our friends and relatives! Thanks again for an awesome vacation. We WILL see you soon!

my husband and i have stayed at the Golden Nugget several times and have always enjoyed our stay there. they have a wonderful pool area with a shark tank that is beautiful to watch. will stay again next year.
“Great Hotel and accommodations”
From check-in to check-out the service, cleanliness and amenities at the hotel were amazing. We were there for our anniversary and our room was beautiful (Carson Tower room) and the bed the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on. The pool and jacuzzi area are beautiful and service the entire trip was great. Would recommend to anyone.
“Great Halloween!”
We had so much fun on Fremont Street. Best place to stay for Halloween!
