“A comfortable, very nice place to stay.”
One of the cleanest and nicest Travelodges we've stayed in. Very good and friendly service, very clean, and no complaints. It's not a luxury hotel, and that's just fine for the very affordable price. We would definitely stay there again.
“Pleasantly surprised”
We were hesitant to book this hotel because it was so economically priced. But, we were pleasantly surprised with its cleanliness and comfort. We would whole-heartedly recommend this hotel to any traveler to Limerick.
“good hotel - convenient location”
Good hotel - had everything we needed - we stayed here based on location to Shannon airport and prior reviews from Expedia. Clean large room - helpful staff - good restaurant - gas station next door - 24 hour Tesco across the street. Many fellow travelers staying there.
“Basic room at a good price. Clean and quiet”
The room was very simple but clean and comfortable. A very good price. Eddie Rockets is next door and opens until 10 p.m. (which is very convenient if you get there at night and don't want to drive around the city) It is located on the side of Ennis Road Roundabout, on the west side of the city.
“Good value”
Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean conditions. Adjacent restaurant very good.
“If you are wanting a central location DO NOT Book this !”
Very Very basic. I think you can do better for a few $$ more. We wanted city center & this is NO WHERE near city center. Not close to anything. Not near the Hunt Museum, King John's castle or anywhere near the main part of town. If you are driving maybe you'd want to do this but there are many other places for not much more. Next door is a burger place which will give you ice in paper cups if you ask.
“Cheap and Cheerful”
Good price, clean, and comfortable.
“No room key”
This hotel could not even give us a key to the room. You had to go to the only desk clerk to let you into the room when you left out. There was a restaurant on premises, but was not open. Also only had one electric plug in the room that would work and it was by the door. I have a C-PAP machine for health reason and this made it very hard to try to use. I would not stay here again.
“Not good at all”
I have absolutely no idea why this hotel was given 4.5 stars on this site. The beds were dirty and incredibly uncomfortable and the staff were not friendly at all. If flying into Shannon, just pay a little extra to stay at the Park Inn which is literally a 60 second walk from the airport and much nicer. We stayed there the night before we flew home and it is miles above the Travelodge.
“Travelodge is a mixed experience.”
I stayed two nights from 9th to 11th November. Address not found by my TomTom. My triple room was very clean and recently decorated. It took ages to warm up, due to undersized electric wall heater, despite mild daytime weather. There is no air conditioning or fridge. The flatscreen TV picks up a good range of English language stations from the north, but not Channel 4. There is also a fascinating Irish language TV channel, with English subtitles. I was unable to get enough hot water for a bath or shower, despite asking the helpful receptionist to rectify. Water remained only warmish, and was unable to warm me up at the end of a hard day. This was a really very big disappointment, in that the problem wasn't rectified. The bathroom was very shiney and new looking with a slightly small bath and a wall mounted shower hose. My second night was an utter nightmare. It was the noisiest experience I have ever had when staying away from home. The room above seemed to be occupied by a group of American Wrestlers. They seemed to jump from the bed onto the floor and run across the room, repeatedly. This started at 1am and continued, hourly, till after 3am. I took no action because I actually felt rather frightened. The diner attached to the hotel opens from 8am till 10pm. It is not a good venue for vegetarians. I wasn't able to eat there. The Tesco superstore is within walking distance. Travelodge offers an economical package. I'd be prepared to stay here again!
