“Helpful Staff”
I left jewelery at the hotel. It was found by staff & the hotel went out of their way to promptly send it back to me at no charge.
“Can't Go Wrong”
Classy hotel just off the main square. Polite service; bountiful breakfast buffet; and free, convenient internet access.
“Excellent”
Excellent service. Ideal position.
“better inside than outside”
exterior looks shabby-needs painting but inside is much better.Nice spacious room with balcony area.aircon and safe with good bathroom and wifi in public areas.
“Trivoli Sintra Hotel”
The Trivoli is located right in the heart of the historic center of Sintra. I was a pleasant 15 to 20 minute walk from the train station in Sintra. Don't be put off by the exterior of the hotel, old modern, the inside is beautifully maintained and comfortable with amazing views from the lobby area. Dont miss the sunsets from the lobby terraces! We would definitely choose this hotel again.
“Can't wait to go back”
Great place in the beautiful Sintra. The food is so good and you are seating right in front of the wonderful villas. Also you can have a nice breatfast, joggle all the way to Palace of Pena, come back to the hotel from Moorish Castle for lunch.
“70's charm but very comfortable hotel.”
Tucked away from view but right in the centre of Sintra is the Tivoli. A throw back to the 60's/70's era but has been well maintained & once inside with its panoramic views & unique homeliness it works it charm on you. Room was comfortable & well cared for with balcony. Breakfast was good, had dinner twice which can be a bit of a hit or miss affair. Otherwise serice was excellent, in a lovely location but Sintra is pricey & you don't get much in return.
“Excellent Location in Sintra”
The Tivoli Sintra Hotel was in a great location in Sintra, right behind the Palace. The hotel staff were very nice and friendly. The hotel could use some refurbishing. It was faded elegance (which I like) but a bit too faded. The bed in our room was a double bed (a bit bigger than a twin). My husband and I asked for a room with 2 beds for the second night. The views from our room of the valley were gorgeous. The hotel was reasonably priced for this type of luxury. Dinner in the hotel was very good, excellent potato leek soup. The town of Sintra was closed down tight after 7:00 PM (in early June) so the hotel restaurant was only 1 of a few places open for dinner.
“Excellent Location to tour Sintra & area”
We wanted to tour Sintra and the surrounding area. The Tivoli Sintra is perfectly located, directly across the street from the Sintra Palace, and very easy to get to via train/bus/car. One can easily pick up the tour buses that will take you to the surrounding Moorish Castle and other palaces. The hotel has just a great view of the valley below Sintra from the restaurant or bar, including a balcony. I would not rate our room "4 star", but it was quite acceptable. The morning breakfast was very generous compared to most hotels.
“A really magical place”
Loved this hotel in the heart of romantic Sintra. They gave us a beautiful two room suite although we had only booked a double. I'd go back in a second.
