“Excellent.”
What a nice surprise! Out of all of the hotels we stayed at in Austria, Germany or Italy, this was by far our favourite. Pleasant and helpful staff who knew us by name, clean and modern. Lots of free parking, and close to everything.

Breakfast buffet, front desk service, housekeeping, wired internet service, room comfort and spaciousness excellent. Tranquil environment. Free shuttle to and from town has very limited service so inconvenient. Taxi to and from town costly. Free access to international newspapers in lobby. Very restricted access to wonderful fitness center is difficult to understand. Often I would be the only occupant but would have to book in advance for only one hour's access which was insufficient for me.
“Excellent”
Hotel Mons offers an excellent base for exploring Ljubljana and indeed Slovenia. The hotel is a little out of the city, but it's shuttle bus and overall level of satisfaction more than make up for this. With the caveat of its location, I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
“Great business hotel in Ljubljana”
If you are driving, this is the best place to stay in Ljubljana. I ususally do not have a car so I stay at the Slon downtown. But this time I had a rental car and I chose to stay close to the highway. It was a good decision as I discovered probably the best hotel in all of Ljubljana. I only wish I had spend more than one night there as I did not even get to use all their facilities.
“A great place to stay in Ljubljana”
The Hotel Mons is located outside of Ljubljana, but there is a shuttle that goes back and forth frequently. Its location in the woods allows for a more peaceful stay. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially the front desk staff and shuttle drivers. The hotel has a nice playground for travelers with children. The breakfast is very good, ranging from bacon and eggs to cereal, and sauteed vegetables to a nice selection of cheeses and meats. The cafeteria has good food with a lot of variety. Although the Hotel Mons is probably too expensive for backpackers, we found it quite suitable for middle price range travelers. Very highly recommended.

New and very nice hotel 5km outside of town. Great for business guests, and for travelers with a car. Good cafeteria. As a tourist, I would stay in the city center.
“Mixed review for Mons in Ljubljana”
Good things: Remarkably clean. Ultra modern decor(if you like that kind of stuff). Very helpful staff. Bad things: Lobby and restaurant were always full of suit clad, chain smoking businessmen who didn't do much to enhance the warmth of the place. Hallways outside of room reminded me of a hospital wing (The worst decorating taste displayed in the hotel). Hard to see how anyone could describe the art as "art."
