"I reserved two rooms through Expedia and noted that we needed pet-friendly rooms on the ground floor. I was moving my parents, and my father is disabled, so being close together and avoiding stairs was important.
Upon arrival, we were told the requested rooms were not available. I wish the hotel had contacted us beforehand so we could have made other arrangements.
The highlight of our stay was the front desk employee. She was friendly, professional, and did her best to help. She found me a pet-friendly room on the second floor while my parents stayed directly below me. Her customer service was excellent.
We were traveling with a U-Haul and trailer and had to park in a poorly lit area behind the hotel. There was also a group near the entrance drinking, smoking marijuana, and being very loud, which made me uncomfortable unloading belongings and concerned about my elderly mother going outside alone.
The room itself was disappointing. I could smell marijuana from outside or nearby rooms, and the noise continued late into the evening. I had to run the fan and TV to help drown it out. The hotel felt dark and dingy, and I did not feel particularly comfortable or secure.
There were also several inconveniences: the toilet paper roll was nearly empty, there were no charging outlets near the bed, and room lighting was limited. Breakfast does not start until 6:00 a.m., and there was no coffee available in the room.
While the front desk employee was outstanding, it did not feel safe"
