“We can't wait to go back. Great hospitality!”
From the momemt my husband and I arrived we were well received. Everyone there is wonderful and treats everyone with the upmost respect from the Concierge staff to the people cooking the English breakfast's everyday to order to the housekeepers. We felt so at home. Our home away from home. We can't wait to go back and stay there again.
“A Nice Surprise”
I had initially booked for three people, but ended up having a friend tag along. I had paid for the original three with a credit card and then paid for our friend in cash. I had fifteen pounds in coins, but they didn't mind getting it and helped me count them out. They were very friendly and worked with us. We all had a lot of luggage as we had all spent the past three and a half months studying and were on our way home. We were initially on the third floor, but when they saw all our stuff, they moved us down to the ground floor - wonderful! I was staying the second night alone and would need to move to a different room, but was going to be out all day. They said it wasn't a problem and moved all my luggage for me. I was very pleased with the service. The rooms are small, but they are fine for a night or two and the helpful front desk made the trip that much smoother so the size of the rooms didn't really matter. Plus, it is within walking distance of Victoria Station, which is great and it was especially nice on the day I headed to the airport.
“pretty good for the price and location”
the hotel's condition is terrible in the hallways because the rugs look kind of dirty and old, but my room was always very clean and warm which was great to come back to after a day out in the cold. there is no elevator in the hotel, so don't stay here if you plan to bring a lot of luggage. everyone at the reception was very helpful and very nice, and i don't have any complains.
“Nice Little Hotel”
I stayed at the hotel for 9 days and enjoyed myself. I requested a twin bed and was given a double bed. My room was cleaned everyday and the hotel it self was in neat order. When the shower joint leaked they had somebody there within a half an hour to fix it and when it got cold at night they check the central heating to make sure it was working. They took care of my postcard and did my laundry for me. Viral and his staff did make my stay at the Airways more enjoyable. It was also nice to have access to the internet for a small fee. Thank you to Viral and his staff.
“Small, but clean and comfortable”
I wasn't expecting much from this hotel, as it was one of the cheapest I'd found in London, so I was thrilled when I came into my room and found it was clean and warm. I would recommend this hotel to the budget traveller who is looking for a decent place to stay, and isn't concerned with the details (like whether the door opens all the way or whether there's room to move in the bathroom). It was comfortable enough and I felt safe, and that's all that really mattered!
“A great find!”
Clean hotel. Great location. Helpful staff. Substantial breakfast. Large room with great shower. Clean linens every day. Near major bus route, 10 min from major tube station. 15 mins from ethnic restaurants, shopping. A real find in London with a price that is much lower than in Paris with half the amenities!
“Loud Neighbors”
Very nice area, transportation close by. Very small room, hardly room for luggage. Nice to have window slider for fresh air, but not the first night as neighbors across street had a loud all night Karaoke party. The following night, the girls in room next door and their friends from other rooms had no problem with extreme noise, slamming doors, open doors, late night wind down from big night out - hotel service desk refused to assist, did not seem to care about our satisfaction.
“Great Location and Very Cheap”
Just down the street from Victoria Station. Great place to crash for a night or so. Shower curtain was a little moldy and needed to be replaced. Also the wall lamp was made to be between 2 twin beds, not for double (a little annoying). The clerks were a little hard to understand and you had to leave the room key with them when you left. There were multiple hotels on St. Georges owned by the same people. We stayed at Hanover Hotel and not Airways Hotel. Hanover was right across the street. But we filled out paperwork for Airways Hotel. No differences and not a big deal. I would definitely stay again for the price and location, totally worth it.
“Inexpensive and convenient”
Close to Victoria Station (like Grand Central), inexpensive, good breakfast. The bathroom is very small and a little strange, but the price is perfect.
“Would go back again”
For the price I was very happy with the hotel, it was clean, nice hot water, the bed was large and comfortable, and they cleaned the room each day i was there plus the location was great about a 5 minute walk from Victoria Station. If you dont want anything fancy just a comfortable, convenient place to stay I would recommend it.
