“OK place to stay”
A conveniently located hotel. Otherwise, a typical place for London in that price range - affordable, somewhat run-down, not exactly immacculately clean. It's right next to Paddington Station, too, so it's a good place to stay if you need to catch Heathrow Express in the morning. No surprises, either pleasant or unpleasant.
“Very Adequate”
I knew what I was getting when I purchased this hotel. It is very CLEAN, economic, and convienent. I don't plan on hanging out in a room so it was perfect for me.
“Clean and comfortable place to rest after a long day”
Nothing flash here. Price is low, room is small but clean. Comfortable bed - great staff and awesome food close. Paddington station (subway) and bus and trams all within 2 - 3 blocks. If you want 5 star then keep looking. I had no complaints and saved alot of money to do other things as well.
“fair deal for the price”
this is a budget hotel -- clean and quiet but shabby. the location can't be beat for access to rail and underground. the neighborhood is safe but a little seedy.
“Don't go by first impressions”
This was our first of 4 hotels on the trip. It was the lowest price, and in hindsight, the best value. No expense was wasted on esthetics, however, unlike the other more visually impressive places, everything was clean and everything worked. They supply a free, elaborate, English style breakfast - considering restaurant prices, this is a great value. They supply free wi-fi, again, a great value and uncommon for hotels. The location is also excellent. It's a very short walk from Paddington Station, allowing easy access to the Heathrow Express and 4 different Underground lines. There is a traditional English pub on the corner, and an amazing variety of restaurants and cafes within a short walk. This will be my London home on future trips.
“It was okay...”
I would stay here again, because of the great service and the great location- 100 metres from Paddington Station. However, the shower was tiny and door did not close, and the room was in overall poor repair. Linens were clean, though and the continental breakfast was nice.

Next to underground transportation and train station. Next to five nice restaurants. Walking distance from Hyde Park. Very pleasant stay.
“Decent hotel, Great Location.”
This hotel was not perfect but had great air conditioning and great location. Walking distances from everything. The staff was friendly and first shift staff was helpful. Breakfast was the same everyday! The room small for three people but it would be great for a couple. Bathroom was large. No iron in the room but you can ask for one. Overall a great experience!
“We had a great budget experience, but....”
You have to know that European hotels are typically smaller and older than US motels, and this is only posted as a one-star hotel. We had a good 4th floor room that had been rehabbed. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. There's no AC, but we were cool at night (we missed the heat wave). Much of the first three floors appeared to be "under construction," and the hall carpets were worn through, so I don't know how other rooms compared to ours. The money we saved staying here allowed us to other things in an incredibly expensive city. We found the staff friendly, and we felt safe in the neighborhood.
“Good value for the money.”
The location is very convenient. Close to the Paddington Station (and, thus, Heathrow trains) and Hyde Park. A tube station is nearby. Safe area, lots of eateries. The hotel is very quiet despite being so close to the station (but make sure to request a room on the courtyard side). Very friendly and helpful hotel employees.
