“Italian Chic in the midst of British Regal!”
This lovely "Italian Boutique" hotel in the heart of Kensington Gardens is a true secret gem to be savored. 5 minutes walking distance of the Metro, the Baglioni Hotel allows for full exploration of the London sights and shopping during the day. Ask the uber-attentive staff for a Umbrella or directions if you need them. Return from your spending siege a little tired? No problem since each room come equipped with a cappuccino machine to give you a little extra lift. Caffeine not your bag, baby? Step into the sumptuous bathroom and treat yourself to the signature toiletries while indulging in a bubble bath or glass-enclosed rainfall shower! Bellisimo!! A night of clubbing or dining and still not tired? How about a late night tasting of the wondrous Super-Tuscan's from the hotel bar? Whatever time sleep eventually beckons you can retire to a bedroom right out of the Gianni Versace addition of Architectural Digest where you will find peace and tranquility whilst dreaming of large Italian figures! Ciao!
“Great hotel....great location!!!”
The hotel was so quiet that we felt as if we were the only guests! The staff was very attentive and kind and the location was perfect! The concierge helped us in so many ways and never steered us wrong.
“So easy!”
Fantastic place to stay. Offered me everything i needed: location, quiet surroundings, helpful staff and easily accessible to shopping and amenities. Helped me feel like i could get to know London easily!
“elegant and sexy”
great vibe, great bar
“A great small hotel”
Highly recommended. Rooms are a good size for London. Hotel is modern and clean. Good, attentive service. Good location at Kensington Palace. 10 minute walk to Tube. In hotel restaurant was expensive.
“Great Stay”
Loved the hotel - Spent 4 nights - The staff was wonderful and the hotel was simply terrific.
“Baglioni - Great experience and great management”
The great thing about this hotel is you walk and your worries stop there. Water and fruit at the door, helpful and courteous staff (but not pretentious), great restaurant and bar, and all inclusive of movies and internet access. They have understood that you do not nickel and dime a customer at a high end hotel; care for them and they will reward you back. Bar downstairs is not recommended as to many posers.
“One of the better choices in London”
We did not like shower. I wonder why they do not put up shower curtains. Breakfast is relatively weak as a European 5 star hotel even though service quality is good.
“Worth considering if Kensington location works for you”
The first thing to keep in mind is that this is an ITALIAN-owned and operated hotel and that things are done in the Italian way. The facility is very stylish, indeed. It's right across from Hyde Park / Kensington Park, on Kensington High Street, about 1/4 mile east of the Kensington High Street tube station. It's quiet and not super-convenient to the tourist sites in central London, but one of the tourist open-top bus lines has a stop a block east of the hotel, and it's only about a mile from Harrod's. The staff is tops. The bar is first-rate, the breakfast buffet is a little skimpy for the price, the restaurant appeared to be good, and the rooms are stylish, with comfortable beds. The bathrooms could use additional ventilation -- hot showers will fog it for a while. This trip was on my own nickel and I would stay there again.
“Great facility, staff doesn't match its class”
As it says on the tin, Italian luxurious style, contemporary and sleek, refreshing contrast to the majority of London's 5 star hotels that focus on heavy English style. We spent a week-end and had a superior room, size just about right, very cosy and cool. It was my wife 40th, the hotel kindly offered a complimentary turndown on the arrival evening plus a delicious birthday cake. Didn't use the Brunello rest., the bar, however, is very chic and full of creative cocktails. Spa was a disappointment, staff kind but not really experienced, boring massages without the excitment of any of the Eastern techniques. Would return to the hotel.
