“Great location , nice hotel”

The hotel itself is very clean and nice. It is fairly basic but for the price it is extremely good value. The location is the real selling point. It is 5 minutes walk to bayswater tube station and 10 minutes to queensway tube station. The area has many, many restaurants and shops and even has a shopping centre with a cinema at the bottom of the road. Cannot recommend it enough.

“Great London Experience”

My stay at the Phoenix was very pleasant. The hotel room was of reasonable size (By London Standards), newly renovated, very quiet and extremely clean. The hotel is very close to the Bayswater tube station (2 minute walk)which allows for quick access to London attractions. The hotel is also a short distance from Paddington Station and it's Heathrow Express train (one tube stop away or a 7 pound cab ride taking five minutes), which makes arrival and departures from Heathrow very easy. The hotel is located in a nice area with many shops, internet cafes and eateries. I felt very comfortable walking around by myself at night. I will stay here again as it was my best hotel experience in London so far.

“Well located, pretty square, good value for London”

Hotel staff were welcoming. Room was clean with a high celing giving it a spacious feel, bathroom was small but had everything you needed (shower over bath). Buffet breakfast was well presented with a good choice.Pretty view of gardens in square out of window.

“Look forward to staying there again”

I was in a single room, small, but certainly adequate - it is London and you don't spend that much time in your room. The staff was wonderful, the breakfast room staff very neat and helpful, the front desk staff the best! It is kept quite tidy considering it is an older hotel, but location, location, location is everything. Near tubes, buses, restaurants, store, best of all, near Portobello Road!

“Great Location Great Value for money”

This hotel was wonderful, located on Kensington in Bayswater. the hotel is approximately 200 meters from the Bayswater underground station(located on Queensway street), which makes getting around London a breeze. the Hotel is located is situated very close to Queensway street which is full of Restaurants and places for a quick bite to eat. Whitely's Shopping center is just a 50 meters from the hotel. Continental breakfast was Great. Wireless internet that was provided free of charge by the hotel was also excellent! i plan on making all my future stays in London center around this hotel. a true Gem

“Wish I Had Come Here First”

After spending two nights in another local hotel i was forced to move because of availability and came across The Phoenix:Even though it was booked the day before the rates were good and the standards very very high for a hotel in this range.Will definetely use again.

“Tucked away hotel near the tube”

To my delight, the hotel is a set of row houses turned into a quaint boutique hotel complete with its own bar and sitting room with a fireplace. I felt as though I was a guest of a nobleman. I knew the Best Western Logo would not let me down.

“Best deal in London”

Very clean, comfortable. An excellent value. All this from a person who has mostly always stayed in Mayfair at the best hotels. Near Paddington Station - ten minutes walk - or one stop on the Circle Line (Bayswater), if you have luggage.

“Great Bargain Hotel”

2 blocks from the Bayswater subway, 1 block from a variety of restaurants, 1 block from an indoor mall. Triple room had a separate loft area for the third bed with separate TV. Comfortable, spacious, quiet rooms for the price range. Quality breakfast with cold meats, cereals, pastries, etc. Internet access is available in lobby for a small fee. Able to check in at 11am to stash our bags as our flight arrived early in the morning.
