“Excellent service and facilities.”
Staff were excellent and facilities worth every penny. I would return without hesitation.
“Great Budget Hotel”
Central Park Hotel is a great place for the budget traveler. Being a first time London visitor, I'd heard many tales of small, dimly lit rooms with tiny bathrooms with little hot water and difficult plumbing. But, Central Park is a modern hotel. My room was clean and comfortably large. The shower was easy to work, and I had plenty of towels. The concierge was very helpful in arranging tours. Also, the hotel was in a great location, across the street from Hyde Park and a short walk from the Queensway and the Queensway tube station. My only criticism is regarding the breakfast, not that great. But there are plenty of cafes on Queensway. Boots and Tesco stores are also nearby. I'd definitely stay there again.
“A nice stay!”
A great little hotel, escpecially for the price. It was conveniently located, very clean, a great shower, the front desk was friendly and helpful and they had an internet room. The room/bathroom were very small, but it wasn't an issue as we didn't spend an enormous amount of time there. The one downside was that even though it was December and cold outside, it was very hot and stuffy in the room (and I'm from Florida!). Luckily, the windows did open to ventilate it a bit. Also, I would pass on the breakfast. Altogether, I would stay again happily.
“A good choice for the area”
For the amount of time spent in the room - the room was big enough for the three of us. The Concierge very helpful in booking day tours. Close to the Metro
“Really "Central" Hotel with Affordability kicked in.”
We booked for 3 nights in this centrally located hotel and it was a really good decision we took . ....!! Its location is amazing ..Just in front of Hyde park and exactly 2 min walking from Queensway tube station and we used tube extensively for roaming around london . That perhaps its best part -- location. Also the hotel was comfortable when we got our rooms for two ppl . But we stayed one day in triple bedroom(we were 3 people then) and it was NOT worth it because the price was exorbitant and it was basically a two bed room where they had just dumped one more bed. Breakfast was really good with 5 pounds per person for english and 7.5 pounds for continental . Other than this overall I would surely recommend for anyone looking for affordable hotel at exactly the central part of london.
“great stay in london”
the location is amazing, 30 seconds to queens way tube station, clean, cheap, friendly, defenitly will go back again
“Great stay”
The hotel was well located. The room was very clean and quite. The perfect location.
“Next Year Hopefully!”
We stayed at this hotel last year and we couldn't wait to go back this year. The staff are very friendly - they even remembered us from last year! The rooms are a good size and breakfast is very nice. We would recommend it to everyone who wants value for money and a very good deal. Looking forward to next year!
“A Very Nice Surprise”
Having stayed in a several fairly inexpensive hotels in the Bayswater area in the past, I had my fingers crossed that this hotel would meet my minimal expectations: a bed that didn't keep me up all night, enough hot water for a shower, not too much noise outside, a clean bathroom, and a smoke-free room that wasn't full of cigarette smoke residue. The Central Park Hotel exceeded all of these expectations. The hotel had been fairly recently remodeled, and some remodeling was still in progress (but was not disruptive). There were three working elevators--something not all similar hotels have--plus each room had a safe and a small refrigerator. Had we wanted it, hookup for a laptop was also available in each room. Staff members were friendly and helpful. Although we did not eat in the restaurant, the bar was clean and comfortable. The negative comments here about this hotel seem to be from Americans who are not used to European hotels. They generally complain about room and bathroom size--but they need to remember that most of these hotels are converted nineteenth-century townhouses. The Central Park was a great value for the money. If your idea of a vacation hotel is to lounge in luxury and eat haute cuisine in your room between dips in the pool, don't stay here. But if you are looking for a comfortable, affordable hotel in a wonderful location--basically a nice place to sleep and bathe if you plan to spend your time out enjoying London--you can't do better.
“if you don't spend your vacation in a hotel then it's perfect”
Bare minimum, clean, good enough unless you run out of ideas about what to do with your money. Very close to 2 underground stations. Queensway can quickly take you to the center of the city. Use Bayswater for the airport. Would stay there again.
