“Corus review”
Great hotel with very helpful & friendly staff. Only thing preventing a 5 for comfort of room is that it wasn't very large - other than that, great.

Small room ,bed was twin and VERY FIRM. but for a single girl traveling It was a great, clean safe location. Right around the corner from the Tube a few small places to eat right next door. I would differently stay here again.

“Excellent hotel for a great price and in a great area”
Excellent location right near the Lancaster Gate Underground and across the road from the beautiful Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park. Within easy walking distance of Paddington Station (great access to Heathrow) and Queensway where there are lots of little shops and places to eat.
“Corus - Bayswater”
I stay in the Bayswater area for about a week every summer, and I've seen the Corus Hyde Park and wondered what it was like. A price drop in the room rate allowed me to move up to a slightly better hotel at a slightly reduced rate. I was traveling alone and the room was a single -- and remarkably small, much smaller than most (but not all of the rooms) in the area. But it had everything I needed and was laid out in a way that I didn't have to climb over the furniture to get from one spot to another. (Actually, a comfortable chair for reading would have been nice, but there was no space available for that.) Neat, clean, tidy, and in good repair. Helpful staff. Great location. I suppose my one complaint would be that my room was right at the elevator landing; it looked as if my door might have been custom-made because of the space available -- it was narrower than a normal door. It was also thin, and so I heard the elevator pinging all night long. I'd suggest thicker doors for those rooms -- or turning the elevator sound effects from, say, ten at night to seven in the morning.
“Good Deal for the location”
ok so here's the deal with this hotel. It was a small room but very clean. GREAT LOCATION!! Right up the road from the underground (5min walk). The price was a little high but not as expencive as the hotel next door (twice as much). You could stay in a hotel on the outside of London that was near the underground for less but overall I was very happy with my hotel. I enjoyed spending the day in Hyde park.
“Clean hotel, great location, helpful staff”
I stayed at the Corus Hotel in April 2009. The hotel is in a great location in the Bayswater section of London, across from Hyde Park and a block away from the Lancaster Gate underground station. It's a nice walk to the Marble Arch area and a shorter walk to the shops on Queensway. The hotel staff was very helpful, the lobby was very comfortable and the rooms were very clean. I stayed in a double room with my teenage daughter and we had plenty of room. We had two big suitcases, plus carry-on's and a laptop. There was a small area to hang clothes with a shelf on top. The room had a vanity/desk with a phone, a low shelf for one suitcase, a coffee/tea maker, an iron with ironing board and a combination safe. The bathroom looked new and had a shower with a glass door. We had a partial view of Hyde Park from our room and the windows had sliding panels that kept out the street noise. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Hotel was great. Located close to the tube station. Nice area, clean and spacious rooms. Hotel service was friendly. The Swan Inn is a little pub located next to the hotel which was nice to go to for an evening drink. Would stay at this hotel again. I already miss London, just not the food.
“highly Recommend for suitable place”
As i arrived there, the hotel staff welcomed me very friendly, every thing took less than a minute to have our hotel keys. the hotel is clean, the important thing the location of the hotel is only 3 min or less from the Metro station which will make any transportation in London is perfect... highly recommend
“Wonderfully comfortable and friendly”
Hotel easy to find, nice lobby to hang out in. The food was good. Other nice hangouts in the area. The conceirge was very helpful. Stayed there in high tourism time in August, 2009
