“It was a great experience!”
For three people (Two adults and an eleven year old) the apartment was comfortable and well located. The only thing lacking was closest space to hang shirts, jackets etc....the work around was that there was plenty of bureau drawers....
“Loved London”
Hotel room was an apartment suite, plenty of room. Bed was very comfortable, cleaning staff was great. Front desk always staffed, very knowledgeable and helpful. Laundry service was excellent! Neighborhood is full of shops, pubs, restaurants, all within 5 minute walk of hotel. Bayswater tube station 10 minutes walk giving you complete access to all of London. The #70 bus comes through hotel neighborhood and links to other buses to get you all over London as well. Also, around the corned on Moscow street is the Phoenix Pub, my favorite watering hole!
“Excellent and economical”
This hotel was better than I expected based on other reviews I read before booking. It was Economical, Clean, Well Staffed and A Very Convenient Location. Other reviews mentioned problems with the laundry service. That has been fixed. Other reviews mentioned dated carpets and furnishings, get over it, it's economical, you can't expect champagne on a beer budget. It was all clean quite nice enough. The location was just a short walk from two 'Underground' stations, convenient shopping and great wonderful dining. The neighborhood was pleasant, quiet and culturally diverse. If I had to complain about something I would have to say it has no air conditioning, but it was only hot the day we arrived and after that an open window was all that was needed. Other reviews mentioned that the breakfast was expensive and not worth it so we never tried it. The kitchenette was quite sufficient and we ate in most mornings. That is why we chose this kind of hotel, to save on eating expenses. We ate dinner out often, but we also ate in allot with groceries from the three close by grocery stores. I would definitely return to this hotel. My family of four (we had two rooms) and I were very happy there and quite comfortable.
“I'd stay there again.”
Our ground floor apartment had fire doors separating each room and attached to a narrow hallway. It was very modern and clean and service was friendly and very attentive. Free first load of laundry was nice.
“Would stay here again!”
Ideal situation for families with small children who need a bit more room to run around. Ideal location for acccessing the museums and the tube. Would definately book here again.
“Very pleased!”
This hotel is readily accessible to the Bayswater tube stop. We used the tube with ease to visit all the sights on our list. The staff was extremely helpful which made it easy to get our boarding passes when we were leaving. It was close to pubs, shops, and restaurants. We just loved having the kitchenette and living room separate from th bedroom.
“Will stay here next time”
Nice experience. We didn't want to be in the middle of town, so Kensington was perfect. We got the three twin bed room, even though there were only the two of us. It gave us a kingsize bed in the bedroom, a lounge room with fold out sofa bed, kitchen table, TV and a small kitchen with microwave, fridge, hob and sink. The bathroom was good size with tub/shower and room for two people to use as the same time. The Hotel was clean and included daily towel change and garbage removal. Once a week mopping and linens change. Close to shopping on Queensway St. and lots of nearby restaurants and grocery stores to choose from. Underground stops were about 4 blocks away and you could choose which line you wanted by which station you went to. Staff at Hotel was very helpful. Free wireless internet was good quality.
“hotel: Grand Plaza Serviced Apartments”
really nice place amazing people good service
“Definitely recommendable!”
I have been to different places, and Grand Plaza is one of those I will recommend to anybody. Its location is close to anything. If you are into walking, theres the Paddington Station, or the underground that gets you anywhere in London, and links to outside London (Bayswater and Queensway). If you are a runner, there is the Hyde Park! If you want oriental food, Queensway road is the place! Or if you want to feed your family with your own expertice in the kitchen, groceries are all over the place. At 10 PM, it was not scary to take a walk outside. Staff were very nice, they were always happy to give assistance (special mention: Edwin - at the reception). Thank you Grand Plaza for making our stay easy! My family wanted to stay longer, but we just have to go back home. There's even a shoppng mall nearby! What more can you ask for?
“The perfect place to stay in London”
This year (to be more exactely in June) I decided to visit London and when I started to look for accomodation I found The Grand Plaza Apartments. I have visited most of Europe capitals and stayed at many hotels, but I must say that this is the best place yet. Very spacious room, very clean, very good location (aproximately 3 minutes' walk to an important subway station with direct links to city center). The employees were very friendly and affable. Good food for morning breakfast and a small, but very nice garden to have your breakfast. Next time in London I will definitely book a room at the same hotel...and I hope it will be soon. :)
