“It was nice!!!”
We enjoyed our stay at the London Guards Hotel. The Hotel is on a very quiet street, its old but thats what give it character, the staff was friendly, when ever we needed a Taxi there would help us and give us a price for it. The room was very comfortable, big and clean. The room also had a refrigerator, so you could by some Sodas and Water and keep it cold. We really enjoyed our stay at the London Guard Hotel and the price was right. We would for sure stay at this Hotel again.
“Great Place to Stay”
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was only one block from the tube and a 15 minute walk from Paddington train station. It was very clean, very spacious and very quiet. Contintental breakfast every morning was adequate (needed fresh fruit). Our room had 3 twin beds and lots of room. Hotel was locked at night so safety was not an issue. Bathroom very clean also. TV only had 3 stations but not an issue with us. Less than a block from hotel pickup for tours. Several quick shops around the corner and restaurants, also. Would go back and stay here again in a New York minute....
“Great Location”
This hotel is excellent value and in a great location. The breakfast was fine and there was plenty of choice. There were 6 in our party, 2 adults and 4 teenagers and all of us where impressed with the hotel. If the weather is good try walking through Hyde Park to Buckingham Palace or to the museums in Kensington.
“Great location, helpful people, spacious private room.”
I just got back from stay at London guards Hotel. The Hotel staff was helpful in locating my lost creadit card at a restaurant.Very proffessional and friendly people. The room was spotless and well stuffed with coffee, tea, shower cap, hand lotion, and more each day. The room is quiet and never knew so many travelers were there until I got to the breakfast room where many family from diverce countries were staying. The room felt spacious for two people may be because of high cealing. We could see a cute garden from the rear windows. Long and deep ceramic bath tub helped me relax after a long day. The hotel is located close to Bayswater where you find many reasonably priced restaurants I also discovered it is easy to walk across Hyde park to get to Royal Albert Hall and Victoria Albert Museum area. The hotel is very easy to get to central london by underground. Weather in January is warm as late October in New York.We went out without a coat half the time. The sky was almost always gray but not rained.
“Great Hotel”
We have stayed here four times now, in four different rooms, only once not too happy with basement room (window level with overgrown garden, so couldnt open it) but overall its a good hotel, Inclusive breakfast is very nice and the serving staff are really polite and friendly. Good location, convenient for the tube and various attractions, but on a quiet street so no traffic noise. Would stay here again.
“Great Location - would book again”
For a 3 night stay with 2 children, this was just what we needed. Great location, a stroll across Kensington gardens via Peter Pan statue and we were outside the Science museum. Tube a short distance away and we could even walk to the hotel from Paddington. Breakfast was basic but adequate and staff very friendly. Very quiet and peaceful area. Would book again.
“No problem at all”
Finding a hotel in London is like shopping for a bottle of wine in a grocery store. You never heard of the name, where is it located, the saftey of the neighborhood, etc. The only thing you know is a double room means 2 twin size beds, not 2 queeen size beds. I would say the London Guards Hotel is good (not the best) in general. If you are looking for cheap price, convinient to the Hyde Park, cheap restaurent access, and walking distance to the Paddington station (Heathrow Express) -- the overall Lancaster Gate area is good for you. This is an area with all the hotels. 2 blocks down will be a busy business district, but you find quiet on your bloak. It's a small hotel with not much people, free breakfast, small reception area, not much design and decoration... but I am happy with it. You just sleep for 7 hrs and off to the city, right? No question asked and people are in general friendly. I recommended it for only people with limited budget.
“Quiet, clean and convenient”
Traveling with my husband and daughter, we found the London Guards Hotel to have a room that was a decent size, very comfortable beds, fine continental breakfast, and helpful staff. Just three blocks from a tube stop and one block from Kensington Gardens, it was a good location. There are many restaurants in the area and the staff made good recommendations. The hotel is on a quiet square and suited our needs very well.
“Great value”
This hotel is in a decent area not far from the Tube, our family room was clean and comfortable and all of the staff we met were helpful and friendly. I would be happy to recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive short stay in London.
“Will stay at the hotel again”
We are very happy that we picked London Guard Hotel. Staff are helpful and friendly. Best of all, we get clean sheets and towels everyday. Dining rooms ataff are great and courteous. We highly recommended this hotel. The only thing we found was missing is the coffee maker.
