“excellent hotel”
my husband and myself stayed at the royal garden hotel for a weekend in london.right on kensington high street.lovely hotel.the restaurant and bar on tenth floor well worth a visit due to views over london.would definately stay again and would recommend it.
“Highly professional and friendly”
I would happily return to the Royal Garden ...it was of the highest standard...with very helpful and pleasant staff. Only small criticism was slightly dry bread on late night sandwich.
“Will visit again”
The staff were very helpful and spoke good english which makes a nice change, nothing was too much trouble. Had room service for meal in the evening which although pricey was excellent and the breakfast the next day fab. On booking out we even got shown around the new re-furbishment of one of the floors so that when we return we know which room to book. Would recommend 100%
“Impressed”
Great value.
“great place”
enjoyed stay at royal garden staff very helpful
“impressed”
Only negative was the strong smell of smoke coming from adjoining rooms into my nonsmoking room. Otherwise can't say enough how much I enjoyed staing there
“Kensington's Best!”
As stated above, this was a top shelf hotel and Expedia's rating system was spot on as well. As a matter of fact, I will be returning before summer and will stay there again. I will add that we did not eat at RoyalGarden's in house restaurants for no other reason than the neighborhood was rich with opportunities to explore and enjoy.
“Perfect weekend thanks to the hotel staff!”
This was a wonderful hotel with an outstanding staff in the perfect location. Our stay in London was the perfect romantic getaway. The hotel staff provided us with great guidance to the local attractions, shopping and restaurants as they should. We will return to that same hotel in the future when visiting London.
“Pleasant surprise!”
What a pleasant surprise! This is a London hotel so you should expect small rooms and dubious amenities if you're on most budgets. Location was absolutely right. It's on High Street Kensington with good shops, restaurants and a must see Whole Foods Market if you want that experience. Good Tube/taxi access. Rooms smallish but well laid out! I stayed in the queen standard room; no upgrade. Nice touches all the way around -- dimmers on the lights, frosted glass for stylish privacy, bar refrig, and lots of storage so stuff isn't on top of surfaces. Tight for two people, best for single. Hotel restaurants were a little stuffy on Sunday but top rate all other times. Concierge, room service, and reception professional and accommodating. All you have to do is ask! My room overlooked Kensington Palace. There is a public jogging/walking path around the palace but didn't have time to do to that. Looked inviting. So, down to the fine print/niggly points: hotel still under renovation so from 8a.m. to mid day you will hear drilling. For me, it was an alarm clock to get up and enjoy London but could be annoying if you want to sleep in. Also, should have installed non slamming door mechanisms. Renovation won't last forever but do take that into account when you book your stay. Random tidbits: work out room, yay! Liverpool team stayed there one night and they mingled. Can't guarantee that every weekend but, hey, who knows? Hotel knows their target market and serves it well.
“London's finest”
perfect location for being able to see everything in a short amount of time
