“American in London”
There were so many pluses to this hotel including the location, the amenities included, the comfort of the room and the elevator. The hotel had newspapers every morning but sometimes the people at the front desk weren't very friendly. The amenities I really appreciated were the hairdryer, the safe and the towel warmer. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to visit London.
“Nice hotel”
Nice hotel, very comfortable, everything we needed.
“Great hotel”
Excellent hotel in a good location, with a comfortable room and a reasonable price for London. Staff were efficient and helpful and the hotel had everything I needed for a comfortable break. The breakfast was also good quality. Would definitely recommend.
“Excellent care & attention”
Stayed here for a 4 day break, had no issues with the hotel staff very helpful & friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Easy walking distance to 2 Tube stations. Would come again
“Great value for money”
With the exception of the breakfast which i found over-priced, everything else about the Chamberlain was positive. The location for anyone having to do with Lloyd's couldn't be better. Room was quiet, clean, comfortable. The shower was great.
“Great Hotel and Location”
Found hotel to be conveniently located near Tower Hill tube station and Tower of London. Considered the 'business' district so it was very quiet during the weekend. Located just two blocks from tube, very convenient for getting around London. Hotel caters to business people and therefore is quite professional both in their restaurant and pub. Very impressed with accomodations and will definitely return.
“Great for Business Travelers”
Convenient location between two tube stops (Tower Hill and Aldgate); enough small shops and restaurants in area to satisfy basic needs (but not a touristy area). Rooms are comfortable, tho some of the beds are uncomfortably soft. Rooms are spacious (for a London hotel) and bathrooms are large and comfortable. Floor plan of hotel is eclectic, and each room is different. Rooms numbered -01 can be noisy from the pub below; a few rooms have windows that are too high to be seen out or that do not open (bad for people with claustrophobia). The hotel staff was very accomodating about requests to switch rooms. (Hotel staff generally was very nice and very helpful.) Free Wi-Fi in the rooms; free computer & printer in lobby. Good hotel restaurant. Breakfasts are somewhat expensive, but there are lots of other options in the area (including a Starbucks across the street.) I will definitely return.
“A great weekend stay”
I arrived on Saturday and because the hotel is in the business district, it was very quiet during the weekend. The room was great although I did have one perk about the service... I needed postage stamps to send out my postcards and when I asked the reception desk where to buy them, she replied "At the post office." I was hoping that she would be more helpful in telling me "where" the nearest post office was located or if that would be something that they could easily take care of for me. I had to ask differently to get a clear direction on where to purchase my stamps. Everything else was ok.
“Great find and Value if booked during London off season”
This hotel is located in the buisness district of London.... extremely quiet during the weekends and convinently within a 3 min walk to Aldgate underground station which connects to most main tourist lines. This hotel can be booked inexpensively for most summer months and is absoutely hassle free for a person on the go. The staff was the only drawback as most of them, with exception to the manager, could not speak english very well... but they tried very hard to help and were very friendly. The rooms are extremely well kept and clean, large, and the staff will try everything they can to help you for a smile. Would definetly stay here again.
“Nice hotel convenient to City”
This is a nice little hotel convenient to the City. Rooms are small but comfortable. I was in London in business so the location of this hotel was ideal for me. If I had been a tourist the location would have been a little off the beaten path and I would have found it to be on the pricey side.
