“Was Great one block from Train Station”

If you are going to stay in Hollywood this would be a great hotel to stay at convinent to public transportation. Which is the best why to get around Hollywood(Get A Tap Card very cheap 17.00 a week or 62 a month). It is located close to fast food and supermakets so I was very happy. This is a great hotel if you plan on just sleeping and going about town.

“LOVELY”

this place is cool for a frequent traveller like me, its close to every significant landmarks in hollywood and the owner who works as well as receptionist was quite very helpful in giving you advices and directions. i don't mind staying in this hotel again when i go back to L.A on november this year. you can even leave your stuffs to the reception safely.. keep it up...IMPRESSIVE!!!

“Hollywood's Good Value”

Hollywood Stars Inn was a good value with a good staff and conveniences.

“Comfortable niche”

Good rate for what you get. the bathroom isn't that clean but for the location and price it's better than most place. It has a fridge, a couch, and a king size bed so it's pretty comfortable. you can easily fit a lot of people or have a quick get away.

“If you want to sleep, sleep cheap!”

This hotel is nothing fancy and you should know what to expect when you book this. We were interested in getting out and seeing the sights and this is perfect for that purpose. It is a cheap way to sleep but I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time in the hotel room. Biggest Perk: It is within walking distance of many major attractions in Hollywood. If you get tired of walking, there is free parking out back (very convenient!). The neighborhood is slightly on the shady side, but we were not bothered by anyone. I felt safe in the hotel, despite it's open feeling (the doors are left open all the time). Room/Amenities: As far as the actual room, again, this hotel is nothing special. The rooms are spacious, but the tv didn't get many channels. There was a slight smell and some suspicious stains, but nothing too appalling. The one thing I missed was the supposed "continental breakfast" (didn't see that once while we stayed for almost a week). The desk people are friendly and helpful enough. Overall, a good experience but nothing fancy!

you get what you paid for. Very cheap and clean. I expected worst but everything was clean and alot of space.

“Clean and comfortable”

Quite comfortable and not too far from the subway. It's about half an hour's walk to the hollywood stars. Rooms are spacious but not much in the way of natural light, but that was OK for me as I was only staying there 1 night. Good for the price.

“very scary area.”

very old,small scary hotel and area, parking lot like a sardine can. you have to tell them to move their cars to get out day or night. no elavator. plexi glass covering front desk window, not pleasant people. no hairdryer. customer service not good. not worth the cost. and not close to hollywood like they told me.

“Great value , but at sketchy part of town”

The room was very clean and the bed quite comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. It is just 2.5 blocks from the subway red line station on Hollywood Blvd / Western Ave The neighborhood is not the best. There wasn't much scrutiny of people coming in an out of the hotel, which made me slightly uncomfortable safety-wise.
