Connected to Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center via an open-air walkway, this Hyatt Regency is across the street from the harbor and marina, two blocks from Aquarium of the Pacific, and four blocks from the ocean beach. The hotel is on Pine Avenue, which offers galleries, restaurants, shops, and nightlife.
A year-round outdoor pool with a spa tub and spacious patio faces Rainbow Lagoon. The Tides on Pine restaurant offers California cuisine and patio seating. The spacious lobby offers a lounge, Perks café, and a check-in kiosk. Wireless Internet access (surcharge) is available in common areas, and a staffed business center is on site.
Guests traveling on selected major airlines can use the Fast Board™ program to check in and receive airline-issued boarding passes before leaving the hotel for the airport.

Rooms
All Hyatt Regency Long Beach guestrooms afford excellent views: rooms on the north side overlook the city, while those on the south side face the harbor and ocean. Rooms include wireless Internet access (surcharge), multi-line phones with voice mail, MP3 docking stations, upholstered chairs, and desks. TVs provide complimentary HBO, pay movies, and video games (surcharge). A complimentary newspaper is delivered each weekday on request.
Regency Club rooms provide access to an exclusive lounge with a daily complimentary Continental breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres, as well as a dedicated concierge and a workstation with complimentary high-speed Internet access.

A year-round outdoor pool, spa tub, and spacious sundeck face the Rainbow Lagoon. A complimentary fitness center with cardio machines and free weights is available 24 hours a day. Bicycle rentals are available seasonally.
Guests use the pathways along Rainbow Lagoon and Shoreline Drive for walking, jogging, or cycling. The beach, four blocks from the hotel, offers numerous recreational opportunities. The hotel concierge can assist with bike and water-sports rentals. Sport-fishing excursions depart from Rainbow Marina. Recreation Park, five miles away, offers an 18-hole golf course, a driving range, tennis courts, playgrounds, and playing fields.

“Great Value in Long Beach”
I was pleasantly surprised with what a great value this hotel was. The entire experience was flawless. In spite of travelling during the holidays, the hotel restauarant and bar were open for generous hours, while most things in the area were closed. The room was comfortable, however, the mattress was quite firm (personally, I would have preferred a plusher mattress, but there are those who might prefer the firmness.) However, there was plenty of space with a fantastic view from a high floor. The hotel is central to several tourist attractions, public transportation, and major highways. Will definitinely try to book a room here again when returning to the area.

Room service and food quality great! Great location by lots of restaurants and located just across the street from the marina. Nice beach area just a short walk from the marina. Friendly hotel staff. Hotel is being upgraded and is sure to be even better. There is a nice lagoon on the property.

My daughter and I were exhausted from a hot week in Anaheim for a basketball tournament. We decided to stay at the Hyatt in Long Beach to relax before catching our plane the next day. We were awed by the room, the view, the service and location. Definitely great for leisure or business travel.

“Awesome!”
The place is like a mini-utopia. I stayed in the Harbor room which doesn't have a spectacular view (the harbor is on the other side of the street) and on top of that you can't open the window. But I give it huge marks for the excellent guest services, lovely room and location. This hotel is on the corner of a Borders book store that has a large ferris wheel outside and a nice little plaza (in walking distance) that has a movie theatre. It's great!
“One of the best hotels experiences I've had”
The room was clean and comfortable as was the entire hotel. Every member of the hotel staff I encountered was friendly, courteous and professional - even the facilities guys! I would definitely stay here again.
“Wonderful hotel”
The hotel is beautiful. The staff must work very hard, the hotel from early morning to late at night always looked perfect. The staff was very friendly. The lagoon outside with its bridges is a nice walk to end your day with. It's close to restaurants, whale watching tours, the Aquarium of the Pacific and much more. I loved my stay and would go back anytime.
