“Great Stay!”

Very nice hotel. Staff was friendly and prompt with a request for sheets for the foldout couch. Breakfast was more than expected.

“Recommend Holiday Inn Express Hotel”

Newer hotel. Small room but enough to accomodate. Can't hear freeway sound. Appreciate the Continental breakfast in the lounge with lots of room in the lounge to eat and relax.

“Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Merced”

We were just passing through from Yosemite to the coast. We fond the hotel clean, cheerful and easy to find, with great staff. The Staff were more then helpful and as a rest stop on a road trip, I would have no problem recommending this hotel.

check in was easy, room was almost brand new and clean, very roomy and comfortable. I would definately come back.

“Good second choice for Yosemite”

Good stopover 2hrs. 30 mins from San Francisco. UK mum and 2 children (12 and 13) stayed 5 nights August 09 as last minute first time Yosemite trip whilst in California (all Yos. National Park hotels full). Small town Merced is in the middle of nowhere but hotel opposite local fast food outlets, petrol and freeway access San Francisco/other destinations. 57 mies clear road to Yosemite gateway ($20 per week per car park admission) with junction to Yosemite highway close to hotel. Hotel is a soul-less new build corporate block but very comfortable inside plus free wireless internet. Room spacious 2 queens plus good sized bathroom/shower. Rollaway extra bed on request, no charge. Multi-item self serve breakfast, coin operated laundry for guest use (THANK YOU!) 24hr mini-shop for emergency essentials, free hot drinks 24hrs, clean attractive pool and jacuzzi - welcome after near 100 degree temp. each day in Park. Good service and well equipped for disabled. Am. Ex. travellers cheques not cashed. Staff friendly and helpful but I couldn't find any who had been far from Merced so no road directions apart from to Park and local mall! For serious Yosemite visitors, stay in the Park as its just too far each day otherwise, unless you want short days in the Park. OK for us as it was too hot for serious hiking with children anyway. As a night stopover, Merced excellent and this hotel first rate.

“Worth it”

This place is practically brand new. Everything was very clean. Beds were good. Staff was friendly. I stayed in the queen suite, which was really nice. It was on the parking lot side so it was away from the freeway and very quiet. They have a complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning, which was decent. There are other hotels in the area that are a little cheaper, but this was worth the few extra dollars. I don't think I would stay anywhere else in this area.

“Bang for your buck”

This place is practically brand new, and very clean. The rooms are pretty big and modern, and feature a flat-screen tv. I needed to check in 2 hours early, and the lady at the front desk was very helpful to accommodate me. I recommend this place.

“Good nights sleep!”

We only needed to sleep and leave, but it was a great place. Wish I could of tried their breakfast but the bed was just too comfortable. Highly recommend it!

“Look Forward to My Next Visit to Merced”

I was really amazed at the extremely plush and comfortable room with warm earth tones, fluffy cloud like pillows and linens that were fit for royalty. I felt warmly welcomed, safe my entire visit and the complimentary breakfast bar is truly the best I have ever had in all my travels with any hotel! I will only stay at this hotel now, when I stay in Merced!!! I was impressed the moment I walked through the doors and was greeted graciously! The guest room attendants were so nice and thorough, the front desk personal were very obliging, and there was coffee all night long down in the lobby. The room was very peaceful and quiet.

“Very Nice Hotel”

We were surprised to find such a nice "penthouse suite" in Merced. It was convenient and cool and had all the kitchen amenities we needed. We would certainly return there again.
