“Great hotel....but so..so location!!”

Expedia did not indicate that hotel is not in down town. So, it cost us time and money (Euros) to get to down town. Other wise, hotel and staff, both are great. Ask for Tao when you get there.

20 Euro cab ride to the Airport or free shuttle available. Room was very clean with a lovely patio. The hotel is gated and room key is required for after hours entry. My stay was short but trouble free. This was my second stay at this hotel.

“Wonderful hotel”

The hotel staff was by far one of the most friendly and helpful I've seen in hotels. They were personable and energenic and always very friendly. The hotel was not very close to the downtown area of Madrid, but was very close to a metro stop that easily took you right into the city. The room and bathroom was very clean, and the bed was more comfortable than most hotel beds I've experienced. It was also very quiet at night; definitely located in a good neighborhood. This is a great hotel and I would definitely come back to it.

“Great value near airport”

If you're looking for a hotel near the airport, stay at this beautiful boutique hotel set in a nice residential neighborhood. Rooms are modern and new but somewhat small. We were only there for one night so it was fine for us. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was good. There are no restaurants within walking distance. We felt it was a great value for the money.

We enjoyed staying in this small, boutique hotel that is very close to the airport (10 min by car). If you have a rental car to return to the airport, it's a great location to stay. They have a small parking lot adjacent to the hotel and behind the gates (8 euros / day, not bad compared to typical 25). Gas station is on the way to the airport, on Av de Logroño. The metro is very close too, only about 10 min walking. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Very clean, very modern rooms. Nicely done sparkling clean bathroom with a shower, all necessities were there. Internet is WiFi, but extra, 2 euros / hour. The only concern (not hotel's fault): this area is undergoing a major rebuilding and road construction, so be prepared that some roads are closed and others are only one-way. Your GPS, Google maps and Microsoft Mappoint all will go crazy. On a plus side, when it is all done, they will be in a great position, with new roads and in the very nice and posh neighbourhood. Watch the rate going up :)

“This ain't no hostal..”

My partner and I arrived at the hotel a night before our reservations, but the front desk was able to accommodate us. We dealt with many of the people working at Acis y Galatea, and everyone was super friendly and helpful. They provided us with everything from metro maps and directions to a nearby mall, to a USB port for charging a music player (no access on the computer downstairs; ask the front desk!) and silverware so we could eat snacks in our room. Besides the good service, the hotel is a really nice place. You should have no problem getting a hot shower any time of the day. The big comfortable bed and carpeted floors made it easy to relax after a long day of walking. (Forget eating here though, it is way expensive.) The nearest Metro station is an short walk, even with luggage if you know where you are going. The hotel is difficult to find at first, and the neighborhood in which it's located is very maze-like but we didn't have a hard time with it after the second day. Once on the metro, it took about ~20 minutes to get to the city center. I believe the airport shuttle service did stop at 11 or noon, but it was great to have. Quick, easy and free! The young guy who acted as both the driver and the dining room attendant, era muy chulo!~ Gracias, bro~ For what we paid on Expedia, this place was an enormous STEAL! We would absolutely recommend it if you can book it cheap, or want something a little more fancy.

“Lovely hotel but impossible to get to!”

The hotel was lovely. However, we were unable to get a taxi there (as they refused to take us saying it was too near)and the hotel shuttle was not running. We ended up getting a bus & then walking for 10 minutes across a building site - would not recommend for this reason.
