Room Amenities
Dining
Arco - A la carte but informal dining at this restaurant focuses on Spanish Mediterranean cuisine for lunch and dinner and extensive buffet. The parquet floor is offset by caramel-colored leather banquets and small chandeliers. Breakfast is also served. Reservations required.
The Miguel Angel Bar - Located at the far end of the lobby to the right, this bar is decorated with a mix of low, black leather chairs, fabric-covered sofas, an 18th-century wardrobe, and real fireplace. Soft and alcoholic drinks and snacks are served all day at the wooden bar.
The Pergola - Located at the far end of the lobby overlooking the garden, this glass-roofed conservatory has a white marble floor and cheerful painted wooden table tops with wrought iron legs. Tea and coffee is served in this brightly lit space all day. It is also a popular spot for cocktails and refreshments for businesspeople on a break (the meeting rooms are adjacent).
The Miguel Angel Garden - This terraced garden, set on three levels, has two rows of tall fir trees and bay trees in pots. An a la carte dinner is served here from June to September. There are 80 covers, some shade, and fans to protect against the heat of summer. A small kitchen in a wooden chalet ensures food is very fresh.

“Good Value and Good Quality”
We were very pleased with the quality of the hotel and the location. It's right next to a metro stop and takes 10-15 mins to reach sol & gran via. Hotel is in a very quiet and safe area. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on quality. The spa area was open until 9pm, had good facilities and was very clean. We would definitely use the hotel again.
“Great Getaway”
Although we live in Madrid, checking into the Miguel Angel for a weekend getaway was a perfect idea. We enjoyed the lounge area, the spa (small but perfect) and the comfort of the room.
“Great Hotel good Bargain”
A bit off the beaten path as far as attractions go, being squarely in the commercial district. But right on top of a metro station, so getting around is a breeze. I had a great rate for a Sunday in early June. Unfortunately did not have time to take advantage of the facilities, but even without the pool etc. this is still a great deal. I have paid more for less in Madrid. Definately a four star feel to this one.
“Excellent service”
We received an excellent service from the personel of the hotel
“Great Hotel, if a bit of a distance from main tourist sights.”
With the Metro just a few steps from the front of the hotel entrance, it makes sense to use it to visit the main sights. (only a euro to main sights and 2 euro to the airport) The rooms were bigger than expected, and very clean. Only one complaint and that was there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
“nice pool and spa”
paid for breakfast, very sumptious but we are vegans so we dont eat meat or eggs, my daughter got yelled at for taking extra fruit.
“Watch out for the extras!!”
Stayed for a week in this hotel on a room only rate. Location is good right next to Gregorio Maranon metro stop. Rooms are comfortable and cleaned twice daily. Some of the decor is looking a bit tired but otherwise the hotel is okay. The hotel is advertised with a pool. Be aware that the charge to hotel guests is 40euro per day to use the basic pool / spa facilities!! Breakfast is also a hefty 26euro per person!
“Great place to tour Madrid from”
The hotel was very attractive. The staff was quite attentive. For us the location was perfect. It is near where our son is staying. However the best feature of the hotel is the metro entrance essentially at the front door. this allowed us to get anywhere quickly.
“Good Service, Old Rooms”
Guest service was excellent at the hotel. Very friendly staff. I care about the service more than anything therefore did not pay much attention to rooms which were rather old.
“Good Hotel, very accessible”
I enjoyed my stay at the Miguel Angel. It was conveniently located with a Metro station at the corner. The trains in Madrid are very convenient. Took the Metro directly from the airport to the hotel and back to the airport. It's also very convenient to take the train to any tourist site in the city. This hotel is not all that near any major tourist attractions (maybe a 20 minute walk to Plaza Colon and a half hour liesurely walk to Retiro park). But again the trains make it very easy to get around. Huge plus for this hotel. Room was not huge, but from what I've heard about Europe I wasn't at all upset. Bathroom was a good size and the hotel and room were well air-conditioned. Concierge was very helpful and helped us get reservations for a couple of restaurants including the one in the hotel which was a supposed one month waiting list.
