“Christmas at Urban hotel”
Stayed during the Christmas holiday and couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Breakfast options were great - very reasonable cost wise. Hotel is centrally located.
“The stunning Urban Hotel”
Just returned from 5 nights at The Urban - what a stunning hotel. Rooms are quite small so upgraded to a junior suite which was lovely with the best hotel bathroom I have seen. Perfectly located in a very central position so its easy to walk pretty much everywhere. Public areas in the hotel are seriously stylish and the Glass Bar was busy every night, serving great cocktails. The restaurant breakfast is excellent - beautifully presented fruit, cheese, spanish omlette, salmon, cured meats and toasted ciabattas, cereals, breads and pastries plus hot dishes cooked to order if required. Service from absolutely everyone from reception, restaurant, bar and doormen was superb. Only (minor) critisism is that furnitue in the rooms is looking a little tired compared to the very high quality of the public areas and bathrooms but in every other respect this is a totally lovely place to stay!
“Marvelous Madrid”
This was the perfect spot our first trip to Madrid GREAT location ,service was exceptional and the hotel was a fabulous boutique style hotel with very personalized service. I would rate my experience here as exceptional.
“Wonderful hotel, great amenities and staff!”
This hotel is situated close to many cultural sites: Prado, Reina Sophia, Botanical Gardens, Retiro Park. As Madrid is a walking city, it's only about 10 minutes from Puerta del Sol and great shopping. The people at Urban are the best. Very professional and helpful. Our room, though on the busy street (we asked for it), was noiseless once we closed the windows. Nice sitting area and bathroom very comfortable (Great shower). Good tapas in the bar, where we drank our complimentary glass of champagne. We stayed in another hotel with our adult kids earlier in the week, and this was a very nice upgrade! Would definitely consider staying here again.
“Ultra Modern Chic Hotel”
My boyfriend and I have just returned from a four night stay at the Urban and although I have rated this hotel a 5 for cleanliness, service, etc, there were some gripes. Firstly, the rooms have wooden parquet flooring, which although I love, does make them extremely noisy. On our second evening there, we were woken at 4.00am by the couple next door having a major row,stomping across the floor, and closing doors. Our third evening was even worse as we didn't realise Hallowean was such a major event in Madrid and were woken at 4.30am with people out on the streets shouting,which went on until 6.00am! All this was not helped by the fact that our room was positioned on the left of the hotel, facing right out onto the street! Other than that I loved the hotel and would definitely stay there again, although my other half is not so keen! Have a drink in the glass bar before or after dinner as it is defintely the place to be seen in Madrid. Like many other people we were not sure why an egg was left on our pillow instead of a chocolate, and I did mean to ask!
“Incredible and can't wait to go back”
Best place ever, the staff was really helpfull and the place and restaurants were great. The bar also has the best Sangria that I had in Madrid!!
“Fantastic!”
As soon as we walked in we were made welcome. All staff friendly and helpful - especially when we wanted to book different things. Their recommendations were great! Fantastic location - couldn't get any better. Hotel bar was very busy - it's the place to be seen - bit pricey though. Only down side was the boy band that were also staying so we had 500 screaming girls outside and had to get escorted by concierge everytime we wanted in or out. Was funny though!!!! If you want something abit special - this is the place to be...
“Perfect location”
This hotel is gorgeous! The room was was very sleek! My only compliant was the noise. You heard everything, from the cleaning ladies to people walking in the hallways. But other than that awesome! The Glass Bar is very nice looking but VERY VERY expensive. I had a Grey Goose on the rocks and it was roughly $18 (american dollars). I live in New York City and I have new paid that much for a drink like that. Oh well! The place was beautiful and perfectly located to the Prado and other sites!
“Very Enjoyable”
This was a great hotel, very central and very easy to get around from here by foot. There were a couple of thoughtful touches, the surprise room service, the treats on the bed before bedtime and the blackout blinds to aid long lay ins! The roof bar was a good place to go to end the evening, and have a chilled out night cap. All in all it was an enjoyable stay.
“Probably the best in Madrid”
Fantastic location, within walking distance to all the museums and shopping areas, as well as the park. The rooms are absolutely fantastic, the rooftop terrace bar has great cocktails and the service is superb. Really enjoyed my time there and highly recomment this hotel to anyone travelling to Madrid.
