“Very Relaxing”
Very comfortable. Very enjoyable.
“Fantastic location”
This hotel is ideal for anyone wanting a complete rest in the lovely natural surroundings of the island. Good for those who like exploring islands. The pools (salt water) and sea provide easy bathing conditions. The food is fine with a good choice of meals. The snorkeling is very good in the bays (lots of wrasse, starfish and fried egg jellyfish and eels) and the blue lagoon is in easy walking distance (for those who like walking), although do go early as it gets crowded by about 10am in high season. Unfortunately the cliffs are very jagged near the lighthouse so could not enter the sea here to see the sea horses - but it is crystal clear so do hire a boat!! Easy to get to Gozo on the hotel boat.
“Would love to go again”
Lovely little island, staff very attentive (and lots of them), great having wireless internet in the hotel. Food excellent - buffet evening meals with huge choice and lots of choice for breakfast too.
“Great location!!”
This is a quiet, family resort. If you want to enjoy the Blue Lagoon only minutes from your room... it is worth it to stay here! The staff were really kind and helpful!
“Lovely Staff”
My partner and I had a lovely relaxing 10 days. We sunbathed and snorkeled and ate really nice food at the Hotel. We had a nice tour of Gozo and and a quick tour of Valetta. Mostly we just lazed around at the quiet little beaches and enjoyed a quiet relaxing holiday. Book early and pay less unlike us, but it was still worth it.
“Absolutely fantastic”
The kindness and efficiency of all the hotel staff are what makes this hotel really special; nothing is too much trouble. This is a hotel for families or those who want privacy, peace & quiet. If you want lively nightlife with discos, clubs and lively music, then go elsewhere; Comino is asleep by 11.00 pm - guests are up by 9 a.m. swimming, snorkelling, pedaloing, canoeing, windsurfing, scuba diving or sunbathing. Relaxing by the lovely seawater pool; joining your little ones in their own safe pool; swimming in the beautiful Mediterranean; visiting neighbouring Gozo or Malta. There is history, wildlife, but also you can do nothing at all.
“Shabby Hotel - Fantastic Place to relax”
The Comino Hotel is well over due a refurbish, the rooms are very tired and some worse. The staff are friendly and helpful, the view is to die for and the island quiet and exclusive. If you can get over the shabby rooms and expensive drinks (E4:00 a pint) and only one English TV channel Sky news (part time). This is a fantastic place to relax, snorkel and scuba dive. The boat will take your to Gozo or Comino free of charge, watch travel times. This used to be all inclusive but this year they stopped doing it and all prices have shot up. The rooms were dusty, the bed sheets did not fit and everything felt damp (probably the air con) we shared the room with several Gecko's the first night and saw some rats on the coast path between the bungalows and the hotel. But all in all it is one of the most relaxing venues arround and the staff are more than helpful and were always apologising for the hotel owners lack of upkeep. The food was very good with a several choices each night. Would I go back.... Yes most definatley
“Facilities need work.”
Lack of information from the staff, we stayed at the bungalows but we were not told or shown where the path was to get back to the main hotel, also there is a minibus but we weren't told or shown where the pick up point was. We followed others to find our way. Watersports centre wasn't running, and the games room doesn't exist. Food was good, it was clean, and there was sun!
“Not impressed”
Hotel really shabby and prices for drinks very expensive with a pint of shandy costing 4 euros. As we were a captive we had no choice but to pay the inflated prices.
“Location, location, location.”
That's what the hotel has. Location. The room had a great view but badly equipped. Bathroom poor. Bedding and pillows poor. Buffet food very, very average. Not good value for money. Some staff very helpful, others needed cheering up big time. I'm used to independent travelling and this was therefore not a typical choice for me. However you can't stay or eat anywhere else. The island is great for snorkelling, diving and strolling. Had a great time despite the accommodation.
