The Place Hotel is the have-it-all venue for conferences, weddings, events or just a place to meet within the heart of the city centre. Our Heritage Suite is complimented with 3 meeting rooms allowing you to host everything from smaller training sessions to full board meetings and our new Pennine Suite can accommodate larger conferences up to 200 people in theatre style.
The meeting rooms we provide can be hired either separately or as a complete suite, accomodating from as little as 2 people up to 200 people. Our meeting rooms are ideal for standalone meetings or breakout and plenary sessions.
For an event to remember, The Place Hotel function suite caters for up to 400 guests for drinks, buffet & canapés receptions; or up to 250 for a full service meal and also has an exclusive VIP area, 2 private bars across 3 levels with its own private entrance.
We are located only one minutes walk from Piccadilly Train Station. All major transport links are minutes away and if you are travelling by car we have a secure underground car park.

Accommodations offer separate sitting areas. 32-inch flat-panel televisions come with premium digital channels and DVD players. “The Place - Mancester”
A most enjoyable stay at this hotel that I can definitely recommend to others. The hotel is conveniently located being quite central to the city centre and next to the Piccadilly Station. The reception staff were most helpful and informative, the restaurant staff were also very good. The food was excellent for the price, and I can recommend the peppered steak which was better than I have experienced in many restaurants. Our room was located on the top (6th) floor and was little short of a penthouse suite without the penthouse price. I noticed a mark reduction in the Expedia price when compared with the price offered by other sites for the same room. I guess the measure of a review is whether you would return - "I'll be Back".
“Great to stay in central Manchester with the convenience of an apartment”
Great place to stay in central Manchester both for business and leisure time. Close to Railway station and a short walk to some good restaurants nearby. Staff friendly and as I had a car we had parking with no stress available at this venue.
“Great hotel and value for money”
This hotel was a lovely surprise. We booked a double room apartment and were upgraded on arrival to a two bedroom with two bathrooms so we had one each! The rooms were great, very spacious and clean. The kitchen area came fully equiped with tea/coffee ect. Reception staff were very polite, informative and unobtrusive. It was only a short stroll from the Arndale centre and all shops inbetween. Would definately stay again.

“Impressive and superb hotel”
stayed at the hotel in august 2008 and it was perfect.It was a 2 minute walk from the train station and 5 minutes to the city centre. We had 2 apartments and both were superb, it combined contempory decor yet a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.The staff were very friendly and helpful.I stayed at the hotel with friends and we all went back home extremely impressed and had a fantastic time, we will be going back again.
“excellent spaciours apartments”
these apartments are great for those who like a home from home. we booked 2 x two bedroom apartments, and because they could not put us in adjoining rooms, we were upgraded to delux rooms for free. the apartments were huge, with one en-suite double bedroom, one double bedroom and seperate bathroom, and a huge open plan lounge / dinning room / kitchen. there were slippers and dressing gown provided, and full stocked bathroom toiletries. The kitchen had everything you could need - fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, with compimentary tea, coffe, sugar and milk in the fridge. There is a flat screen tv in each bedroom, and a large tv with sky and dvd player in the lounge, and music system (no ipod dock though) and free wi-fi. 24 hour reception, with a bar, restaurant and gym too. the Place is 1 minute from Picadilly train station, and 3 minutes walk into the centre of Manchester shopping and bar/restaurant disctrict, and a 20 minute walk to the MEN arena. there is parking availalbe at £9 for 24hours, which is much cheaper than the NCP's in town. Brilliant apartments, great location, will definately be back.

A very clean, attractive hotel that I would recommend to couples/young people, but not families or more mature guests- it has a very youthful vibe and you probably wouldn't get the best night's sleep if that's what you're after!! We stayed for two nights in our gorgeous apartment room and were impressed with the facilities and service we received. The hotel is in a great location and within excellent distance of piccadilly train station, so in terms of convenience it can't be beaten. However, be prepared for 'tipsy' stag parties stumbling past your door in white towelling robes at 4am...it's almost guaranteed! x
“Good Apartment”
Very nice stay in these apartments, good location, and safe area. Small minus points, no basic washing up equipment/ dish cloth etc. only staying for one or two nights, you wouldn't think to take these with you.We only had cereal for breakfast, othewise eating out, so basics provided would have been good. A very minor point, otherwise a very good place.
