“Expedia.com all the way....”
First experience with online booking and reservations. All requests have been met and as a traveler, very very satisfied. Hotel stay was great, but unfortunately one of the elevators was not working and hot climate in the elevator and hallways. The room was great, cold (a/c), quiet (16th floor), and very well kept clean when Im not around. Hotel staff friendly and very courteous. But overall, this trip was worth the price, from the airlines, to the hotel pick-up from the airport, and the hotel stay. Great price! Expedia.com all the way!
“a pleasant stay like before”
the hotel was just as i expectd it to be from my last visit in 2007, the staff are just as helpful and friendly as they were in 2007, the room was clean tidy and comfortable, the food was of a high standard for the price i would have liked tea and coffee facilities in the room but it wasnt to be can be wrather hot at night and can be difficult to sleep due to the heat. we was told to keep the windows closed due to the flies that carry deseases. i did find room service food was wrather expensive but we had the opportunity to eat out of the hotel
“A nice place to stay with helpfull & courteous staff”
I found the entire staff , including front desk clerks , security guards , housekeeping , elevator operators , and restaurant staff to be courteous , professional, helpfull and friendly . The location is good - within walking distance to Rizal Park , Bay Walk , Robinson's Mall and there are restaurants right outside the hotel , including a 24 hour McDonalds . The breakfast buffet (included) is a plus as well as the pool on the 9th floor with panoramic views of the city and the bay . Booking with Expedia is definetly the way to go ( about 1/2 the listed room rate ) However when a last minute change of plans required me to extend my stay and it was too late to book online - I met with the manager who was professional and helpfull in accomodating my request . I found the Pearl to be a good value for the money - but more importantly , for me , it was just a nice pleasant place to stay .
“Good value hotel”
Good hotel, nice pool. Continental Breakfast was good, although the service was very impersonal. Located near the metro line. Short walk (15 minutes) to Robinsons mall. Close to Rizal park and Intermurals. Easy walk to the American Embassy and the Manila Baywalk with lots of restaurants along the way.
“Hot water and A/C are not the best feautures of this hotel”
I stayed at the Pearl Manila for 4 days. It was a good hotel for the price. There are some good things and bad things about the hotel. Bad are the HOT water only stays hot for 6-8 minutes then maybe 20 minutes to get hot agian. The A/C no matter how cold you try to adjust it only keeps the room in the high 70's (maybe 78 degrees) no lower. It was OK to sleep in but not as cold as I would like. I did not need a blanket. It had a nice refrigerator that kept drinks cold and also they gave you 1-2 free bottles of water a day. The FREE breakfast buffet was OK. They made me ham and egg omelette No cheese was available. It also had some asian food availanble. Rice and some other stuff. The pool was on the top floor on the outside. The pool area was nice. It had lounge chairs and the pool was a good size. You can not bring in any outside food only beverages. A security guard checks your bags at the entrance of the hotel. If you need to shower in hot water for a long time do not choose this hotel or like to sleep in cold cool A/C. It just kept it midly cool. In day time it was maybe 80 degrees in room and the A/C was seemed like it was just blowing air but it was actuyally blowing cool air but so little it was hard to tell.
“Take it. Good for the money!”
I would recommend this hotel to other travels for its quality of services, politness of the staff and proxomity to Manila's old town- Intramuros. There are many restaurants nearby and a metro station.
“could be better”
good place to stay for the expense
“Value for money”
Manila is very large city, so depending on where you want to be will maybe dictate where you stay. I have stayed at The Pearl Manila Hotel several times. It suits me. It is close to the parts of Manila that I visit. The hotel is safe, service from staff is polite, restaurant buffet breakfast is perfectly acceptable, there is a buffet lunch on weekdays. Rooms are clean and tidy. In all for me it is a perfectable acceptable standard for the price and 3 stars it is rated at.
“Ozzy”
The only thing that I didnt expect was the 1000 peso you need to put down for a depsoit. For the price it was a very good room. I would stay there again.
“nice affordable place to stay in Manila”
We only stayed 1 night but the room was clean and comfortable and the AC was good. The view of Manila Bay from the room was nice. The staff were friendly, the pool was clean and they gave us extra towels for the pool. The breakfast buffet was very good. All in all a very pleasant short stay.
