“Delightful”
A wonderful stay at a lovely hotel. The service was faultless. We definitely hope to return.
“Exotic Marrakesh”
We have just returned from our first visit to Es Saadi Gardens and Resort and what a gr8 time we had. Although the hotel decor was not really 5* standard the service definitely was .... The bar staff were extremely attentive and the little tapas snacks they provided went down well with our cool casablanca beers as for the concierge (kemal) and the checking in staff they were all so helpful and polite. Hotel is in an excellent position to explore the Medina. Would definitely go back. Make sure you agree taxi prices before you leave hotel they can be pricey.... enjoy we will be back ........
“Friendly, happy hotel.”
A great holiday made even better by the welcome from the staff at the hotel. A very happy and helpful staff that made you feel like you were the most important guests there. The location of the hotel is very good; only a ten minute walk to the old town. A great place to be on your holiday!
“Nice Hotel shame about the Pool.”
met at the entrance of the Hotel by a traditionaly dressed Doorman (all over 6') in full dress and wearing a khanja (silver dagger). the reception area is large and set out as a lobby seating area with the hotel piano bar to the right. The staff are all pleasent cutious and polite. Our room though facing the city was nicely laid out and big enough for the baby,s cot . We was staying on half board you could have breakfast with either lunch/dinner. the set menu was fantastic all week lots of choice and good quality food very French & traditional dishes available to. we mainly had dinner as it was nice to sit outside staff were knowledgable regarding wines whether local or europeon they were also curtious and friendly. the Spa was great and offerd many treatments which we tried. The pool was a nice size and shape but the water was not clear enough to tempt me in im afraid. the hotel sits 5 mins from Jemaa el fna and the famous square and souks. it also has its own casino and theatro nightclub which is free for residence's and is open till the very early hours of the morning. All in all a great holiday only a little spoiled by the pool but we would go again.
“Customer Service - 100%”
I liked everything about this hotel especially the Staff who are always willing to please with smiling faces.I found that we were always looking forward to dinner in the restaurant. I will definately go back to here.
“Quiet Hotel”
5* hotel 5* service A place to relax in Marrakech
“A great holiday in a wonderful locaton”
The hotel Es Saadi Gardens is part of a larger complex includng a casino and the Es Saadi Palace Hotel. It is located very close (within walking distance) to the old city of Marrakech. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. Some people speak excellent English others speak French with a smattering of English. There is a wonderful pool with recliners and waiter service where you can sit in the morning. We tended to go out to the souk in the afternoon. The food at the hotel was excellent, although we only took the breakfast option, we ended up eating at the hotel on quite a few evenings. Our room wasn't huge but it was wonderfully maintained. The concierge recommended excellent local restaurants and events during our stay. The hotel does it own speciality Morrocan evenings twice a week with a superb 5 course meal and a large variety of local entainers from belly dancers to acrobats.
“Great hotel - pool could be cleaner”
Great rooms and cleanliness. Only negatives were the poor cocktail selection and the cleanliness of the pool. The pool has a central island with a . palm tree on it, the palm tree is home to quite a few pigeons. These pigeons have made a mess of the island and their excrement was not only around the pool, but inside it as well.
“A haven to stay in Marrakech! Highly recommended and would definitely go back and stay there again!”
The hotel is lovely and the rooms are really comfortable and spacious, with air con, TV, fridge, safes, good clean bathrooms, balcony's and fresh fruit given each day! The facilities within the hotel are extensive and the staff are very helpful and speak English. Breakfast was very good and a range of veg/non veg options with choice of hot and cold food each morning - taken on the patio outside. The swimming pool is amazing and a real haven to relax by after a few busy days in Marrakesh. The hotel also has a lovely piano bar, gardens and good concierge service. The staff arrange taxis for you but they add on commission - so try and book your own cabs - the Menara airport is only a 15 mins drive away but they will charge 200 dhirams for a 50 dhiram cab ride as they have to pay the hotel commission! Location wise, its a 15-20 min walk to the Medina and to Gueliz. Hivernage is a nice, safe and clean part of Marrakesh. There are some good restaurants very close by - 2-5 min walk - ask for Comptoir - where they have traditional Morrocan food with a troupe of belly dancers too on Fri/Sat! There is also a taxi rank outside the hotel with taxi drivers ever ready to rip you off - so know your rates and tell them how much you will pay, instead of asking them - it should be 10 dhiram to the Medina and no more - i was charged up to 30 dhiram before i found out the 'real' price! I would recommend staying at this hotel and would definitely stay again.
“Few Drawbacks”
Our main drawback was that the cheaper rooms overlook a slightly noisy road. We are super-sensitive to noise as we live in the English countryside. A change to the fifth floor mainly cured the problem. Otherwise we were very happy and would go back again. Breakfast was a little cold one morning... er, can't think of anything else! Beers were expensive but then they were everywhere. Staff helpful and friendly. Internet didn't work in the room but it did in reception and by the pool. 20m walk into town, partly very tranquil. Lovely weather in Novemberg. What more could you want?
