“Lovely base when visiting Marrakesh”
An excellent hotel to stay especially for those who do not want to be amongst the hustle & bustle of Marrakesh all the time. Good shuttle service into the city so the best of both worlds. Quiet relaxing place to stay in rooms of a good standard. Good food - took the all-inclusive option. Limited selection of drinks, but sufficient. Carafes of red & rose wines at lunch and dinner on a help yourself basis. Helpful staff, some with limited English, but that's half the fun - trying out rusty French. Would not hesitate to recommend and intend to return.
“GOOD VALUE”
The room was comfortable but in December it was cold at night and first thing in the morning, but there were extra blankets. On 'All Inclusive' the food was excellent with a variety of dishes, hot and cold. No beer but plenty of wine, water and some spirits. The swimming pool was cold. There was plenty of space and it was a lovely quiet relaxing break. The mini-bus to Marrakech went several times a day and made going to the Marrakech/Souk easy (15 min walk from bus stop. The Tourist Board in Marrakech meet some of the buses and provide FREE guide to the Souk, which was very interesting and informative.
“Cheap and very good value”
We decided to travel to this hotel as it offered all inclusive at a very reasonable price and we were looking for a cheap winter break. We were very surprised by how good it turned out to be. It is basic, but clean. The food was of a good standard and comparable to a 4* Turkish hotel, it was mostly morrocan inspired which suited us. The entertainment is in French, but they do try to include you if you want to join in, and as French is the local language this seems reasonable. If you like you holiday to be england but hotter, this hotel wont suit you. If you like to experience something different, its great. The bus to town is very good as well, the first one leaves the hotel at 7.30am and the last return is at 11pm with frequent departures through the day giving you as little or as much time to explore Marrakech as you like.
“Love it! go there 3 times a year- made many friends”
Lovely hotel, quiet, a bit repetitive but great
“I will take earplugs next time”
The Resort represented good value for money and the staff were very attentive and worked hard to ensure that we had a good time. The resort was heavily orientated towards French speakers, which represented no great problem but I could understand that this might be not at all UK visitors. The accommodation was very poorly insulated against noise and we could hear EVERYTHING from the rooms above us and to the sides and the pathways nearby, which kept us awake at night and woke us early in the mornings and really spoilt our holiday experience at this resort.
“French Based”
Wanted to visit the famous Jemma El Fna, the hotel was chosen on cost and we only paid cheap so cannot complain - we knew what we were getting. Having said that - it is never a 4 star, 3 maybe (Morrocan stars), lovely grounds & pool, air con in room which was basic but clean. As most other reviewers have said - everything is in French including the entertainment & poolside music. The food is basic - ok for a few days, limited bar which was not the best drink whatever you drank. Take note - it is in the middle of nowhere with nothing around it, so you cant go for a stroll to "another" bar or restaurant. The only alternative is the free bus into town. It will cost you 20 euros for a taxi from the airport to hotel
“Dated and Basic rooms”
This hotel was a OK place for a break but the rooms are rather shabby and smelt a bit damp. Everything was in French, all announcements and most of the staff only spoke French. We had gone for a special anniversary celebration but it was not the luxury hotel that the web site implied. On the good side the pool and gardens were fabulous and if you wanted sports there was plenty to do, Shuttle bus to the city was well organized and free. It took 20 minutes to town. However for the price paid it was good value.
“Decent Value. Oh and ensure you can speak French.”
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and found it to be good value for its price. The atmosphere is somewhat like Butlins but for French and Morrocan families. The pictures are slightly deceptive and you quickly discover it's more a hotel trying to be upmarket but really a 2* which is adequate if you plan to spend most days out of the hotel discovering your destination. Not much accomodation is made for solely English speakers. Room was generally clean and despite the blanket which had stains and cigarette burns the white sheets beneath were clean. AC worked although it was not needed. Food was ok. The hotel is far from the city itself but has an adequate coach shuttle. For the short time spent and the good price, I can't complain, but I wouldn't pay full rate for this hotel.
“nice building and grounds, intrusive seedy entertainment staff”
Entrance, main building and grounds stylish and beautiful. Beware however that hotel also houses "club jumbo" and their entertainment program can be irritating. Worse of all were entertainment staff - seedy, intrusive and childish eg.creeping up behind ladies at breakfast and making stupid duck noises whilst breathing down their neck from about 1 cm and peering down thir tops at the same time.
“all inclusive”
This is a typical all inclusive. Very quiet during the winter months. It was clean, the grounds are beautiful but it was a relief to check into a Riad in town the following night so as to have a nice quiet place to drink a bottle of wine. The French karaoke and discotheques that take place at the kenzi club are only entertaining for about a minute before it all gets obnoxious.
