“Oasis”
Beautiful Oasis hidden in the Old City. So quiet.... and relaxing, I lived in the pool most of the day. The breakfast buffet was 5 stars and so was the service. My room was beautiful. If you go...stay here for sure!
“Oasis in a Busy City”
Situated in the busy and brilliant rue de la kasbah ..... immeditely you step into the front lobby all the hustle and bustle stop. The courtyard is beautiful and the service is second to non. the best place to unwind from a busy hot day trampling the streets. The arent the cheapest place for food and drink but its good and if you want to drink alchohol .... then this isnt in view of a mosque so you can relax with a glass.
“A delightful find! Centre 'hidden' garden a joy.”
A quickly booked short holiday which we very much enjoyed.Deluxe rooms only avail when we booked but our room opening onto veranda was just perfect in every way.Staff charming/friendly/helpful.Food was excellent(breakfast coffee...could have been stronger/hotter but staff did try to remedy}. Lunches/dinners particularly delicious. Will certainly be returning to this delightful hotel.
“A tranquil haven”
Walked in off the hot dusty streets of the city. Immediately greeted with friendliness and a drink of mint tea, resting on sofas beside a cool fountain, whilst we completed the forms and formalities. Our bags were taken to our room which was cool and comfortable with a large bed and luxurious bathroom. Excellent service throughout the stay, and very helpful. Frequently received complimentary drinks and nibbles in the evening. clean pool with fresh towels, good breakfasts, beautiful gardens. worth a visit - completley quiet, far from the hustle and bustle outside the walls -despite a short walk only into the cities main square.
“Perfect escape in Marrakech”
I stayed at Les Jardins de la Medina for 3 nights in May and was very satisfied. The place and staff were wonderful. It was a perfect place to escape. The resort is beautiful with gardens, a pool and balconies from the rooms. The medina outside is busy and hectic and the hotel is an oasis of quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet (included with the room) was fantastic. There were only 2 downsides: it was a little far from the Square Djemaa el Fna (10 minute walk) and the fitness center had limited equipment (but made up for by its outdoor location overlooking the gardens of the hotel and the city skyline). The hotel is right near the gardens of the palace so a good place to go running. I would go back without hesitation and can strongly recommend this hotel to other travelers.
“Lovely oasis in a very busy city”
Although not ultimate luxury, this hotel offers complete quiet and tranquility after a day in the souks of Marrakech. An insignificant door from a normal street leads to a beautiful garden with small private places to sit and peaceful rooms. Very friendly helpful staff. Plumbing a slight problem as it seems to be all over the city.
“A vibrant City”
On arrival, the simple single street entry door to this Hotel belies what is beyond - a 200 year old Palace converted to a luxury Hotel where guest attention is superb without being intrusive. The description as a "Guest House" totally understates the experience. Located in the Kasbah means that outside the hotel you walk amongst true locals with their tiny workshops, stalls, and busy streets in daytime. It's a 30 minute interesting walk to the Jemma square. Experience: After drawing cash at airport ATM on arrival go to a cash desk and get the smallest change possible for your banknotes, and keep getting change, it's in short supply-you will need it. And check with locals for proper taxi rates, probably half what is asked for by the driver, but they quickly accept your sensible proposition before starting any journey. Friendly people, and you feel safe if taking the same care you would at home. The main tourist office is extremely helpful and informative, worth a visit. Most restaurant menues are in French. English and French are main tourist languages. A superb holiday experience - we hope to return.
“An oasis in town”
Felt so welcome and confortable, found difficult to leave the hotel to visit Marrakech
“Would definately stay here again”
30 min walk to Jema Al F'na, 10 mins in a taxi. Great service overall and a very good restaurant! The garden and pool area were also really lovely. Only improvement would be a more comfortable mattress for the third bed.
“Elegant riad in the Medina”
Les Jardins de la Medina is a quiet, elegant oasis in the melee of the Medina. The hotel is beautiful and elegant in a simple way. It is not flashy or ostentatious. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The gardens are lovely and well maintained. The pool area is very nice. The pool isn't huge, but it's definitely large enough. The breakfast buffet is delicious, as is all the food at the hotel. The hotel is theoretically walking distance to Jemma al F'na, but we didn't attempt it; partially due to the heat but mainly because it seemed as though it would be pretty hair-raising to accomplish with a child in tow, due to the traffic. The hotel is very child-friendly, although it certainly wasn't overrun with children. We plan to return!
