“Fab hotel - shame about the city!”
Riad Yasmine is a little kewel in a very unprepossessing area. Behind the doors we found a scene almost from the Arabian Nights! Our double room was, I think, the only one in the hotel that faced onto the street and this made it a bit noisy at night but the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning cold and the shower powerful so we couldn't complain. Breakfast is adequate and served at a sensible hour. The owner is VERY charming and helpful. Overall a great hotel - now they just need to do something about Marrakech.
“Tranquility base”
Marrakesh was so much more than we expected and the Riad Yasmin provided a tranquil and relaxing base from which we could explore. Herve and his staff made our stay memorable and we enjoyed every moment of it. They were helpful, courteous and very knowledgable. We felt very much at home and staying in a Riad is a must if you want to really experience Marrakesh. You came in from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh to the most remarkable surroundings inside the Riad, in one sense the contrast could not have been greater but in another sense it complemented the city perfectly. Do we want to go back ? yes of course.
“Simply the Best!”
It was wonderful, the steff did everything to make our stay perfect.
“A wonderful oasis!”
Riad Yasmine was everything and more than we had hoped for. We arrived at night and, based on its unassuming exterior, were unsure what to expect. Inside, however, the Riad was a beautiful and enchanting oasis of tranquillity. After unwinding from our travels in the serene courtyard, we were shown to our delightful room. The decor was charmingly traditional but also well maintained and spotlessly clean. The staff were always warm and helpful. Breakfasts were simple but delicious and our drinks by the pool were always served with generous helpings of juicy olives!
“A brief taster”
We were staying for just 2 nights, but we were well looked after by the friendly staff, who were attentive and courteous. The Riad itself was an oasis of calm in a bustling neighbourhood just north of the major sites. We were given directions by the Riad, and this helped us easily find our way. The food was good too, and all in all a very pleasant experience
“Wish I could've stayed longer.........”
This is a wonderful hotel! Very typically Moroccan with a very helpful english speaking staff. I was only able to stay one night on my return trip home to the states and certainly wished it could've been a few days more! I was awed by the decor, cleanliness and value!
“Perfect retreat for a busy city”
This place is a calm little haven which makes an ideal contrast to the bustling, chaotic streets of Marrakech. The place has a nice personal feel as all the staff and the owner will chat away and make you feel very welcome.
“Wonderful retreat from the mad city”
My girlfriend and I spent a wonderful week at the Riad Jasmine. The setting was lovely and the staff were freindly and so very hospitable, making us feel really at home - whilst the city is busy, bustling and sometimes too much, returning to the riad was a much appreciated contrast. We ate here on two evenings as well and the home-cooked food was fantastic too. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Riad Jasmine.
“Excellent Riad”
Riad Yasmine is a haven of calm - which is just what you need to retreat to after the whirlwind of activity that is everywhere outside. Our room was spacious and very clean, although a little chilly when going back at night in mid February. I'm sure that heaters would have been provided if we had asked. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful; available 24hrs. We didn't eat evening meals there as we looked forward to the buzz of eating outside in Jmaa El Fna but a good breakfast of yoghurt and sweet breads were served with excellent coffee and juice. Mid february was like a nice April day in England but coats needed at night. I felt happier covering up arms and legs as a matter of respect and most women did. Not sure how things change as the weather heats up. The map given to us to get to Jmaa El Fna and the Souks was very basic but if you take to note the landmarks you won't go wrong. I don't think I'm allowed to mention names here but the lovely helpful lady who greeted us wrote the directions to the Riad in Arabic on the map and this was great to show the taxi drivers. Riad Yasmine was a lovely place to stay and we'd recommend it to anyone.
“An oasis”
Very welcoming and friendly staff, more than happy to advise/book activities for you. A real oasis in the chaos of the medina, and good value.
