Property Amenities
Ryad Mogador Marrakech is among the best 3* hotels in the city. It is opposite the grand Bab Doukkala gateway to the ancient medina with its pink ramparts. Easy access to the medina on foot, or by horse and carriage to taxi to the Djemaa El Fnaa Square, modern city centre (Gueliz/Hivernage). It is a 20 minute drive from the airport. A great advantage in this busy city, is the private underground parking for residents, as well as the supermarket on its doorstep. The interior is of Moroccan design, bu the rooms are modern and all air conditioned, with TV and private bathroom. There is a coffee shop - the Tammuziga (with free WIFI) and the international restaurant, the Le Mogador. Free WIFI connexion is also available at the lobby of the hotel. The hotel accepts VISA, Mastercard, Visa Electron and Maestro bank cards, as well as travellers cheques. They provide a laundry service, and baby sitting on request (payable). The hotel doesnt serve alcohol in its bar or restaurant.
Rooms
There are 162 air-conditionned rooms, including 9 suites. Rooms have either 1 large matrimonial double bed, 2 single beds, or 3 single beds. Most rooms take a baby cot (on request). There is a satellite TV, a direct phone line, double glazed windows and a room safe (20 Dirhams per day). There is a private bathroom with tub and shower attachment.

“Great Staff, great food, great location - will be back”
Originally booked for 2 days - extended to 7 days. Staff lovely and friendly, made you feel very welcome. Breakfast was really good lots of fresh, fresh foods, orange juice, eggs, crossants, moroccan buns, cinamon scroll, pancakes - just lovely. A supermarket located 50 mtrs from hotel and right opposite the old medina and only 1/2 klm from jardine Majorelle - the most beautiful gardens I've ever seen - the property is now owned by Yves St.Laurence - not to be missed.
“Improved since my last visit.”
This was my second stay at this hotel in 2010. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel has improved since my last stay in February. The public areas were cleaner and the odd smell in the corridors has gone. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Marrakech. Excellent value for money and I would be happy to stay at this hotel again.
“Great location, good for the price.”
After some other reviews, wasn't expecting much of this hotel. However, the location is great - 10 minutes to the centre of the Medina and 10 minutes to the centre of the new city. The room was clean and comfortable, the air con was very welcome! It was quiet considering it is a city hotel. Buffet breakfast was plentiful, however after a week it did get a little repetitive... My fiance and I went for a week and for our budget I don't think we could have done better! You probably could find somewhere smaller and more romantic if you book further in advance, but we didn't, and this hotel provided everything we needed.
“Fab”
This is a fab base to explore Marrakech, its just outside the hustle and bustle of the Medina walls and has cashpoint/bank, supermarket and bus station on its doorstep. The rooms were cleaned every day and the staff were friendly and helpful. Also recommend the hotel's restaurant in the evening if you've had a busy day. The pool is quite small for the size of the hotel but we always managed to get a sun lounger. Great hotel which doesn't break the bank. Would recommend ear plugs as the walls are quite thin so can be a little noisy at night, but not a massive problem. Fab fab fab!!
“Good Value For Money”
The hotel was slightly out of the old town, but just around the corner from the major attraction of the Majorelle Gardens, and across the road from the bus station (if travelling on the #19 bus from the airport, stay on after it stops at the Koutoubia Minaret as it will stop here). It is around 15-20 minutes' walk from the main square (Djemma el-Fna). The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was perfectly adequate (small but well-equipped and clean), with a small bathroom (complete with tub), and little balcony overlooking the Bab Doukkala (one of the gateways into the old town). It had a small TV, writing desk, twin beds, bedside table, two wardrobes, and luggage rack. I consider the room to be excellent considering the very reasonable price. I opted for breakfast as an extra, which was buffet-style. Good selection of cakes/pastries, bread, pancakes, flatbreads (made freshly in front of you), honey, jam, marmalade, olives, tomatoes, cucumber, coffee/tea, juice in unlimited quantities. There is a small pool (unheated when I was there), with a few sunloungers around it, as well as a nice little lounge where you can have tea/coffee/drinks. Room service was prompt and very fairly priced, and the food itself reasonable. The hotel has two lifts (elevators), as well as stairs.
“Overall good hotel.”
Very friendly staff. Situated within easy walking distance of the old and new town and the bus station is over the road Pros: Excellent loaction, view over old town, excellent staff, good value. Cons: Noisy if in a room at the front (hotel is on the corner of a junction and locals like their horns), my wife got extensively bitten by bed bugs. Overall I would recommend this hotel just bring some ear plugs and wary of bed bugs.
“absolutely lovely”
we had a great time here it is a lively area but felt very safe, we were always well looked after by the staff it is good value for money. The nearby supermarket meant a good supply of fresh and interesting picnics
“Nice functional hotel / Very good value”
This is a nice functional hotel: it is clean, safe, reasonably priced, well located, and quite comfortable. Breakfast is simple but very good. The location is also very good. Overall, it is a very good value. Note: There are more than one Ryad Mogadors in Marrakech. This one is close to the central bus terminus and the Bab Dukkla gate.
“Family friendly hotel in a good location”
Having read a few mixed reviews on various sites I was slightly apprehensive before visiting this hotel. Now after having spent a week there I would highly recommend it to those on a budget, families or if your sole purpose of a holiday is not lying on a deck chair beside a pool. This is a 3 star hotel so do not expect 5 star facilities. The hotel including our room was clean and in good maintenance. The staff were friendly and always eager to help and most of them spoke reasonable English. This hotel is in my opinion in one of the best location you can stay at while visiting the Madina. It is just outside the Bab Doukkala gate with easy accessibility to all historic sites e.g. Koutoubia Mosque, Bin Yusuf Mosque/Madrasa and Jema al Fena square are all about 20mins walk. El Badi and the Saadian Tombs are about 30mins walk. The area of Gueliz with its trendy restaurants and designer shops (there is a Mcdonalds here which came handy on a couple of occasions with our little one) is around 15mins walk. Gueliz is where the train station is. There is a coach station directly opposite with services to all major cities and there is a taxi stand outside the hotel itself. At the Bab Doukkala gate there is a horse-carriage stand. If you are looking for a large swimming with lots of deck chairs for sun-bathing then choose a different hotel.
“Good location, perfectly serviceable”
I liked the location, just outside the Medina, and was happy with the hotel, esp as it seemed quite cheap.
