“Great Hotel and Staff”
I was the only english speaking guest amongst French toursists, but, I still thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I got by. Great fun staff (especially the show staff who gave there all and made sure everyone enjoyed themselves and took part in activities). Very friendly staff willing to take time out to chat and make my stay fantastic. Pleanty of food and very nice also - room was comfortable and nice. Would def go back. Enjoyed my holiday
“Nice, clean hotel.”
The hotel was in a good location, away from the main square (about 15 minutes by taxi costing approx £2). There were lots of nice resteraunts and cafes nearby. Staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and well presented. The swimming pool was large and there were always plenty of sun loungers. Breakfast was nice, there was lots of variety and there were 2 cooks on hand, 1 making fresh pancakes and the other making eggs, omlettes, etc. There is a safe in the room but you have to pay extra to use it (approx £2 per day). You will also be charged a tax when you leave the hotel, it was approx £2.50 per person per day, we were expecting these costs as they are clearly stated on the Expedia website before you book.
“Great”
My 9-year-old daughter and I loved it. It's beautifully decorated, the pool is great, and everyone is very friendly.
“One of the most beautiful hotel compound”
We recommand this hotel to stay when you visit Marrakech. Room is wide and food is beautiful.
“An oasis in Marrakech - perfect escape from the bustling souks”
A stylish and comfortable hotel with great facilities, perfect for unwiding after a busy day sight seeing.
“A1!”
Hotel was second to non. Excellent location. 1.50 pounds in taxi to main locations in center. Helpful with independant guides and look after you well. Simple buffet breakfast but fills the tummy. Staff were a pleasure. Room A1. Tv was bit manky and the reception but no biggie. Few english speaking staff can be bit problematic so take a decent french phrase book. pays dividends!
“Kenzi Semiramis Marrakech: pros and cons”
This is a big, well-equipped hotel with spacious rooms. The breakfast was good, and when we ate in the restaurant the food was OK and reasonably priced. There was entertainment (local musicians) at night in the bar, which had a small but adequate range of drinks. The women in my party had a massage in the spa, and found it a worthwhile experience. The hotel staff did their job well, although occasionally seemed a bit terse in their manner. The room got a bit stuffy at night--as there was no air conditioning. We could have left the balcony window open, but were not sure about the insect situation. The phone in our room did not work, nor did the TV remote control. The mini-bar was empty and had not been defrosted in a long time. There was no facility for making coffee in the room, and no iron. These little things did not really matter, but they certainly stop this hotel from being rated as excellent. It's a long way outside the medina. I would go for one a bit closer next time. This has the potential to be an outstanding hotel, but needs a bit more attention to detail and a slightly more relaxed way of dealing with its guests. But it's good value, and we had a good time!
“Good experience”
After reading some of the reviews on this hotel I was a bit concerned about the level of service. However, we were booking last minute and this seemed like the best option. I was pleasantly surprised! Everyone was helpful and very friendly. We got by with knowing very little French. The only issue we had was having to call twice to get extra towels. The night manager didn't seem quite as on top of things, which is who we'd asked the first time. The next day when the daytime staff was there, they sorted it out right away. The restaurants on site are quite good and there are a couple for some variety in both type of food and level of price. The communal areas and outdoor areas are well kept and gorgeous. The hotel rooms are relatively simple and could use a fresh coat of paint, but they were clean and the balconies were great. Free wi-fi in lobby. Costs money to get a key for the room safe. Not really walkable to Jemaa el Fna, but a pretty cheap taxi ride and there are always one or two taxis in front of the hotel.
“The Cons”
Food is the only real downside...
