“More than expected. Great Breakfast..”
Had to attend a funeral in Martinsville. Booked on expedia. The hotel was a little dated, but it was listed as a 2 star. We were very satisfied with the accommodations and it was actually more than I expected. I associate 2 star hotels with either being smelly, dirty room carpets, dirty bedspreads, or dirty bathroooms. I didn't encounter any of these. Staff was very friendly,. Free breakfast buffet included with freshly cook waffles and omlets. That was a real treat. Restaurant staff attentive and friendly.
“A homey place to stay while away from your own bed”
this hotel was very near everything you could want. the restaurant was impecable and the food was to go back for especially the breakfast buffet!!!!! beds - very comfortable.... the tv was the only item i would of updated other than that great place with wonderful southern hospitality!!!
“Outstanding Breakfast”
Pleasant stay close to the store we visited. Enjoyed the breakfasts that got our day off to a good start.
“It was ok”
It was what I would have expected, if I hadn't read the previously posted great reviews. The service in the Restaurant was probably the highlite. The food was good, but 2 of the 3 days I was there, they did not have a breakfast buffet. Very polite and courteous staff. I expected a little more of my room, but it was not bad. My carpet was worn and loose and I was in the very back of the hotel on the upper floor, even though almost all rooms near the front and on the first floor were vacant. The other rooms may have been in better shape than the one I was in. All rooms have outdoor entrances. It was probably on par with the price paid.
“Technology poor.”
There were few electrical sockets so anyone traveling for business would have difficulty plugging in to charge phones, computers, etc. Several of the outlets in the room that I was in were somewhat dangling from the wall and not full attached. There also is no wifi offered.
