Very HARD & uncomfortable bedPosted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: Location is great, building has concrete floors, so fairly quiet. Close to beach and restaurants. Had full kitchen.
Cons: For heaven's sake - replace the bed and pillows!!! It would also be nice to add a couple of boogie boards - they're only $15 each.
Location: Go to Moose for nice happy hour deals. Wailea beach is the best, just few minutes drive south. Go to Hana and Haleakala.
It would've been a great deal if only the bed was comfortable and if the condo was cleaned properly. We followed the request to remove our shoes and ended up with BLACK feet!!! The floor is all tile, but has not been mopped in a while. The bed appears to date back to when the unit was built (1976) - very hard and uncomfortable. Pillows were thin and basically unusable. We hoped to get used to the bed after couple of nights, but by then we didn't feel like switching room for the another few nights, since we could end up with even worse unit. When we moved in - the trash was not even picked up - we had to take it out.

Perfectly FinePosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Proximity to the beach.
Location: Swimming, snorkeling, chilling out.
Clean and tidy condominium. Close to the beach. Watched the sunset from the balcony every night. Perfectly acceptable for the price.

Condo had everythingPosted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: It had everything we needed!
Cons: No early check in or late check out. Door lock was a combo instead of key and was pre-programmed for times.
Location: Within walking distance to the beach. Shopping and restaurants were not within walking distance, however where close. Great location for a base.
This 2 bedroom condo had everything we needed, including beach chairs, cooler, umbrella and in house safe. It also was walking distance to the beach. We had a great view of the sunset from our lanai! Each room had a bathroom.

Great Place in the ideal Location on Maui!Posted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
I'm originally from Oahu but visited Maui for a wedding. We were interested in having a kitchen during our stay in Maui, which is how we came across CRH. Kihei Akahi did not disappoint - the location was ideal and the studio was perfect for the two of us. And how could we complain about the gorgeous sunset views!

Nice kitchenPosted Aug 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
The kitchen was very nice. The air conditioner was totally inadequate and did not cool the bedroom at all which was where it was needed most. All outside sounds, people talking, etc, come straight through the shutter type windows which was annoying and ( people outside can hear any sound you make inside as well )---no privacy. It was also a little hard to find the correct building and the key box when we arrived late that evening. We had to get help via the phone to locate it. The people who helped us were very friendly and polite.

Convenient, comfortable accommodationsPosted Jul 30, 2013
Pros: We liked the location and the low-key island charm.
Cons: The soap sigh in the bathroom could be changed.
Location: See comment on the experience.
We were on Maui to attend a wedding and were on a tight budget. We were delighted to find that our blind choice of accommodations was charming, clean and had a kitchen that was well-stocked with utensils and appliances. (No dishwasher, but none was really needed.). The washer and dryer were a lovely surprise. Just a short walk down the hill to a gorgeous beach, and a little farther found an excellent restaurant (808 Bistro) for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Just past the bistro is a small shopping center, making the location of the Kihei Akahi just about perfect. We hope to return and stay in the same comfy studio apartment. Mahalo.

Pleasantly surprisedPosted Jul 27, 2013
Pros: Clean, location is convenient to beach and restaurants, beautiful beach across the street
Cons: Not all units have air conditioning. Be sure to request a unit with AC if this is a must for you.
Location: Makena Beach was so much fun. Great for boards but do Not bring little kids here! The waves break right at the shoreline and can be huge! Loved it!
I booked this place despite numerous negative reviews because the price was great. I warned my daughter not to expect much. Luckily, we were pleasantly surprised. We had a studio which was larger than I anticipated. The room was clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. The air conditioner worked well. The bathroom was bigger than expected. The washer and dryer worked well. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I arrived after five but the late check-in was no hassle and fast. My sister rented a one bedroom unit which was quite spacious.
