Property Amenities
Designed as a private retreat in a tropical setting, the architecture of Hotel Wailea is eye-catching and spirit-lifting. A 3-acre lawn with ocean views provides an ideal setting for events.
On arrival, guests are greeted with chilled hand towels. After check-in, bellmen transfer guests to their rooms via custom-made Jeeps. Approximately one hour following check-in, guest service agents make follow-up calls to guests. A manager's reception is held Friday afternoons.
Other notable features of this Maui resort include: numerous sculptures, vases, and other art objects throughout the buildings and property; fitness facilities; a large swimming pool where guests can take a plunge; and a stream, which begins outside the main building, tumbles over waterfalls, passes under bridges half concealed by lush tropical plantings, and flows through koi ponds while coursing down the resort's property and deepening the silence around it. The stream terminates in a large, lagoon-like koi-and-lily-pad pond, where guests' children enjoy feeding the fish. The hotel also offers free shuttle service to its beach club on Wailea Beach. Exclusive attendant service, complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels are provided.
Guests also have signing privileges at the nearby Grand Wailea (food & beverage, retail purchases, and spa services).
Hotel Wailea is a smoke-free property.

“loved it”
Staff was great...the spa was very relaxing - overlooking the ocean...the pool amenities were unique....room and lanai was excellent.
“Gorgeous Maui Hotel!”
This hotel was unbelievable. Not right on the beach, up the hill, which meant phenomenal views of the island and surrounding areas. There was access to the beach which the complimentary shuttle. The room was immaculate, the staff was friendly, and the amenities were outstanding.
“OUR best memory at MAUI”
I and my husband go to Maui for our honeymoon, and very lucky we booked the Hotel Wailea. It's very very amazing palce to live in, very nice view. We live in the partial ocean view for 3 days. The view is wonderful, and there is a pool, many fish in the pool, and many beautiful birds around the house. we live in the suite at the lower house. very clean room, very very comfortable bed and pillous. The laundry is convienious, and only $2 to wash all clothes. The breakfast is good taste, there are yogurt, cafe, and tee, and bagels, bread , marfen, very delisious breakfast. I and my husband totally love this hotel, and wanna to live here again!
“Will definitely go back”
This was a wonderful hotel. The grounds are georgeous and the staff was so accomidating. Even though the hotel was full, I felt we were there by ourselves. Everyone was very friendly. The location is great for golfing, shopping, and it is short distance to the beach. Make sure you get a room with an ocean view, you can sit on your balcony and enjoy the sunsets. We did not eat at the restaurant, Kihei is a short distance away with a variety of places. Will definitely go back.
“Wonderful Hospitality”
This hotel was wonderful. Wailea is a pricey area, but this hotel was very affordable. In addition, the people were extremely friendly. Their shuttle service to the beach was very convenient, and the drivers were always so cheerful. I also thought the breakfast would be simple donuts and coffee, but it was more than that (breads, bagels, fruit, teas, juices, coffee). If I go to Wailea again, I am definitely staying here!
“Good for the money”
Everything was about what we expected. Pretty nice place. Nothing extravagant, just a spacious room with the ocean close by.
“Hotel Wailea 2nd honeymoon”
The people that work at this hotel go above and beyond to help you and make you feel comfortable. Perfect place to get away from the crowds and relax. Beautiful grounds and hotel is not far from everything in Wailea. Very satisfied.
“A great place to stay in Wailea”
Everything about our stay here was top-notch. The only drawback would be the location (although, we had a great view, being up on the hill). It is at least a 5-min drive to any restaurants; however, the beach wasn't too far. Polo Beach is a great one and it's right at the bottom of the hill from Hotel Wailea. Service was excellent and the pool/spa/fitness center/grounds/rooms were always clean and well-maintained. We would stay here again and recommend it to others!
“Best Hotel in Wailea”
We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past (under previous mngt) and loved it. The staff is very friendly, grounds well maintained, and resort simply amazing. We were upgraded to an ocean view room at check in. This year the resort offered yoga classes in the morning and I took advantage of it (nice addition). The yoga instructor was even able to get me in touch with a dance instructor so I could take zumba classes while in Maui. I would highly recommend staying at this resort!!
“Shangrila!”
This place is great. Very quiet, serene. Even though the hotel is full, you hardly see anyone else. Its like having the entire place to yourself. The grounds are meticulously groomed. The rooms are like 1000 sq. ft and have a kitchenette. The spas are very nice and relaxing. Its not right on the beach and they dont have a huge pool, but after visiting the other hotels who are right on the beach, I would much rather stay at the Diamond. If you want to go to Maui and relax then stay here. If you want to go to Maui to hang out by a huge pool with 1,000 other people and their screaming children, then stay at one of the resorts right on the beach. I can't wait to go back.
