The seven-story Maui Coast Hotel has 265 non-smoking guestrooms and suites, all with island decor, wicker and rattan furnishings, ceiling fans, and private, furnished lanais. Recreation
Sheltered from busy South Kihei Road, a sundeck houses two spa tubs, a large freeform pool, and a children's wading pool. Two lighted tennis courts are also on site (equipment rentals are available).
Guests have complimentary access to a small fitness center with cardio and strength-training equipment.
Kamaole Beach Park I is across the street. The Kihei area offers rentals for snorkeling, kayaking, surfing, boogie boarding, and other ocean activities.
During winter months, whales can often be spotted across from the hotel.
Wailea Golf Club's championship courses are three miles away, and can be reached via the hotel's complimentary shuttle.

“Twice Pleased”
My friends and I have stayed at the Maui Coast Hotel twice, and both times we have been more than pleased with everything. It is located within walking distance to Charlie's Beach, great eating places, and shopping. They loaned us umbrellas for the beach and the gift shop rented us beach chairs. The staff was very friendly and obliged our every request. They even helped us print our flight boarding passes for our return flight home.
“Great hotel & location”
This hotel is wonderful due to the fact of its recent renovations. The rooms are spacious, modern and extremely comfortable. The extra benefit of this hotel is the free washer & dryer located on every 2nd floor. It has a wonderful restaurant on the grounds which offers menu items with prices that are suitable for everyone. Finally, it is located kitty corner from a great public beach.
“Great hotel”
Just returned from a 4 day stay in Maui and we were very impressed w/this hotel. Clean, comfortable bed, nightly entertainment at the pool/bar and grill (Tradewinds). Two hot tubs- one adjacent to the pool and one that was a little more secluded. Staff was pleasant and accomodating. It is VERY windy in Maui and we weren't so impressed w/the beach across the street as we got covered w/sand trying to lay out.
“Perfect accomodations.”
The rooms at the Maui Coast Hotel have been newly renovated and are very nice. The beds were so comfortable with goose down comfortors and fluffy pillows. Beautiful surroundings and centrally located...the Maui Coast was perfect for our weekend stay. The concierge was especially helpful as well with a wealth of knowledge about the island and lot's of fun things to do. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to that part of the island.
“Good Hotel Experience”
The hotel was very nice. Open aired lobby. Concierge desk was right there to book trips. Hotel maid service was very nice, rooms cleaned and nice. Bed was comfy. Only thing is that they either have a view of the parking lot or on the other side of the hotel view of another hotel facility. But overall very nice. The beach was right across the street. Staff was warm and friendly.
“Can't wait to go back”
Maui coast staff are very helpful from check in till check out. Be aware of resort fee that covers parking, beach towels, free laundry and dryer use etc We had a king 1 bed suite very spacious and clean

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was a good value, and had a attractive, pleasant ambiance. It was a nice place for single travelers or couples, and it was close to the beach and stores.
