“Top hotel, fantastic service”
There is fantastic old colonial style to interior of this hotel - every time I walked in I felt I should have been wearing a panama and a white suit - with lots of mosiac tiles leather seats and revolving ceiling fans. However everything is also bang up to date. Fantastic reception, possibly the politest check in in the world, I swear, with complimentary Chinese tea served on arrival. When we came back in the staff left us goodies - warm spring rolls, fresh fruit - every evening. They made us feel special,. The room itself was immaculate, big roll type bath, huge bed, chaise lounge, it was an effort sometimes to leave! As an added touch I don't think it was coincedence that the room TV was discreetly tuned into BBC when we walked in. Attention to detail or what? Still the Majestic is about 10-15mins walk from the centre of town in a residential area, that doesn't look the prettiest, but infact is a bonus. You can get a chicken and rice breakfast for 9 RM nearby, and if you don't fancy payting the hotel prices for the mini bar, there is a little convenience store nearby. Soon you will be able to work down to the old town via the riverwalk, but at present we found they are still working on this in parts - however it is still a very pleasant walk in past Kampung Morton, on the opposite side of the river to the hotel, and watch out for the dancing foutains!
“What a priviledge to stay at”
The Majestic Malacca exceeded our expectations - the staff are amazing, the spa and treatments available are to die for (we tried them all :)) The breakfasts are wonderful, something for everyone. I'd also like to say that in particular Mr Lim (Bill) Chow Fook is a wonderful asset for the hotel. He made our stay so relaxing and memorable, we will be hard place to find someone at a hotel like this again, that is until we return to this hotel.

The attentive staff and exceptionally helpful hotel manager made our stay a pleasure indeed. We were taken care of during a minor illness as if we were family. I have only bouquets....
“Stellar service”
The hotel goes beyond modern 5 star facilities in a beautiful heritage building to provide superb service from very pleasant and attentive staff. I thought this level of service was a thing of the past- it was delightful to experience their considered assistance, which made our stay in Melaka extra special.
“Wonderful Malacca”
The Majestic far exceeded our expectations. It was wonderful and the staff were so attentive, efficient and professional. The food in the restaurant although expensive was excellent and the service amazing. It was a wonderful hotel. Although not located in the old section (Jonker St), it was still very well located to all the sights which could be reached on the riverboat or by a short walk, We had a wonderful time in Malacca most fondly remembered because we stayed at the Majestic.
