Suger Café - Open breakfast, lunch and early dinner you will be served scrumptious Genovese coffee and mouthwatering treats by friendly baristas and wait staff who can not only fill that hole in your tummy (or gap in your schedule) but can also point you in the right direction for what’s on in the local St Kilda area. Treat them like your personal little black books – they’ve got the info!
Suger Bar - Open evenings, this little nook is a bar with a heart perfect for cosy one on ones and getting yourself in the mood for your night ahead. It also makes a great space for private parties but you’ll need to book if you want to snap it up (make this a booking link).
Curious Restaurant - Open for breakfast only, Curious restaurant has been touted as having the best breakfast in St Kilda by many locals (we’re not bragging, just passing on the message so you don’t miss out).
Room Service - Our in-room dining menu is available from 6.30am - 10pm on weekdays and 7am - 10pm on weekends.

The Alfred Hospital is conveniently located only 3km from the hotel.

“Excellent Service”
We were extremely impressed with the Hotel Urban St. Kilda. The rooms are large, great when you have lots of baggage. The location is fantastic; near the beach, with lots of restaurants in the area, and a tram outside the door. We would definitely stay here again. Very friendly and helpful staff too!

Fantastic location, tons of food nearby, the beach just a walk away and everyone is friendly there. Not too far from the airport either. I higly recommend this hotel.

I truly loved this hotel. It is in a fabulous location, and is your classic "boutique" hotel. My room was spacious and very comfortable, and the staff was helpful. I stayed 5 nights and didn't want to leave!

“An Urban Gem”
This is a fantastically located hotel on the main strip in St Kilda. Concerns that it might be noisy at night due to all the surrounding pubs and restaurants were unfounded and the staff were very helpful, and really friendly. Room was a good size and very well equipped. Highly recommended.

“Comfy stay in a funky location”
Loved this hotel from the minute we walked in. The reception staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. They gave us some excellent shopping tips! The location is great for a stroll along the waterfront and close to lots of nightspots. Just around the corner from the fabulous Acland St - close to the tram stops - the location was just terrific. Loved the hotel decor - which was fresh and interesting. The interior of the lift is particularly great! The beds were comfy, the bathroom roomy with a good long shelf and there were bathrobes in the wardrobe. Thoroughly enjoyed my short stay and would love to go back again.

boutique hotel (more on this later) in a convenient location for transport and local amenities. St Kilda is a popular location for young adults, so the surrounding area though pleasant and safe is not without the occasional "morning after the night before" beggar or similar less welcome characteristic of youth/night life oriented districts. That said the area is very much cafes, restaurants and trendy wine bars with a very laid back feel. The boutique nature of the hotel has resulted in a decor that is light coloured, clean and spartan, in other words very modern. But as a result more revealing of the bumps and knocks resulting from the daily exposure of the hotel walls to suitcases and what not. No different to any other good quality hotel just more visible due to the clean light coloured nature of the walls. All amenities worked well (although the lifts in this 4+1 story hotel are hydraulic rather than cable so a little more patients is required when calling them). Some noise around 7-8 am in certain rooms due to deliveries/garbage removal activities from the nearby commercial properties. Overall would recommend for business and personal travel and for families, couples or individuals travelling alone.
