“Recommendable”
Overall stay was great but the shower was disappointing!
“Sheer luxury with mixed bag of customer service”
Altho the check-in process was not very welcoming - the hotel room and view were "sheer luxury". Customer service on the whole was a bit hit and miss, with 50/50 split between excellent or dismal depending on who you dealing with. However the room, location and facilities were fantastic. We had a 2 x queen bed room with a view of the bay. The bed was soooo comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed. There was even a desk for the laptop. Would definately stay again.

Great hotel to stay in the location was perfect and the easy access to the tram outside the door made for lots of fun and easy coming and going. “Excellent, highly recommended”
We stayed for 4 nights and paid a bit extra to get a bay view....worth every penny. The room was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. Trams, tickets purchased from reception, took us from 100 yards from the front door into the city centre in about 20 minutes. The swimming pool is small but the pool area is secure and sheltered from the wind. The restaurant prices are pretty reasonable too. Also, the beach is only 150 yards away

Very pleasantly surprised, 3 nights for the price of 2 was why we picked Novotel. Great position, walking distance to everything, had a great stay.

“A week at Novotel, St. Kilda.”
Every staff member from reception, kitchen staff, waiting staff, to cleaning ladies were without exception, friendly, cheerful, friendly, & knowledgeable. The hotel is very close to tram stops & an easy walk to Acland St bakeries, bars, & shops. Also an easy walk to beaches. The dining room was excellent and the variety of food available on the buffet breakfast was amazing & catered for every imaginable taste. The room was great except the bathroom door was opaque glass so if anyone went to the toilet during the night, the light lit up the bedroom too. We had a spa bath in our bathroom & a wall mounted handle to enable easy in & out would be useful. (I'm 72) So overall, we were very pleased with Novotel St. Kilda.
“Not the standard that you expect from Novotel”
It is an old building that has been remodelled, but not worth the tarrif demanded, particularly as parking and internet access was not included. The room was small as was the bathroom. Some noise from plumbing in other rooms was a little annoying, as was the lack of opening windows. On the plus side the bed was comfortable.
