“Excellent”
A little haven tucked quietly away only a few blocks from the bustling zocalo in Merida. The hotel is in beautiful converted monastery building, with all of the rooms set around a courtyard with a pool. The staff were friendly and helpful, without being obstrusive. Definitely good value for money.
“Sacred hotel in Merida”
This hotel is the one that you can recommend to every one. If you love the petit hotels, definitely this is the place you must stay. Very clean, convenient (just one block from central square) and quiet. When you enter the gate, the patio with charming water fountain welcomes you. Every room is facing the pool with lots of greens. The room was very simple and so clean. There is no other place cozier than well-kept places. If you really looking for the place for yourself, I recommend you this place.
“A Secret Garden in the Heart of Merida”
Loved, loved the Mision de Fray Diego. It's located about 1 1/2 blocks from the main square in Merida. Our room was incredible, we were in one of the "special" rooms. It's so cool to know you are sleeping in a room that's 400 years old. We were told the hotel was originally an orphanage. It really is as pretty as all the pictures. Once you get into the courtyard you would never know you are in the heart of a bustling city. The food in the restaurant was very good. We wound up eating breakfast & dinner there everyday since it was good, quiet, not too expensive, and so beautiful. The staff was helpful. The only reason I am not giving this hotel 5 stars is that our bedspread was a bit tattered. It didn't bother me, but it's an easy fix, so it should be fixed.

“Great place to stay in Merida”
Great ambience and location. Only 1.5 blocks from the cathedral (a must see) and the town square. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was pretty basic but clean. Towels could have been better.

Hotel is very beautiful and charming, a nice tranquil setting, with an excellent location, very close to the town center.

Good hotel - rooms are not massive and those at the front in the courtyard have charm but are very noisy. After mentioning this to staff we were immediately moved to a quiter one so good management. Very calm, picturesque building in a bustling part of town right near the centre.
“Great Choice Near Centro Historico”
This converted 17th century structure is a delightful place to stay while in Mérida. If you're expecting thoroughly modern accommodations... this may not be the right place for you; however, if you're looking for a small, charming example of Yucatecan history, give it a try!
