Special Check-In Instructions

Check-in hours are between 2 PM - 9 PM at the Antico Caffè San Giorgio, located at the entrance of the Castelmola Town Square. Guest will be met, given keys, and accompanied to their guestrooms.

Villa Regina is located in the old town, near the little old church of San Giorgio on a promenade. It is the ideal spot to spend days relaxing and enjoying romantic hours gazing at the sea and the wonderful Taormina bay, a place of extraordinay natural beauty. As a matter of fact, the building is strategically located in a peaceful location that also provides a scenic point of view as well as a small garden. Surrounded by the old town of one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, only a few kilometers away from Taormina's old town but far from mass tourism, rises the welcoming Villa from which it is possible to enjoy the view of striking scenery surrounding the marvelous Taormina bay.

Villa Regina offers a coffee shop/café. This romantic hotel also offers laundry facilities and secure parking.

The Intelisano Family offers their visitors the typical welcome of a family run business and the experience of many years of work in hospitality which creates a unique mix of politeness and helpfulness. The owners wait for visitors to arrive at the reception Antico Caffè San Giorgio, located at the entrance of Castelmola, where from 14:00 to 21:00 visitors are checked-in, given keys and accompanied to their rooms. In addition, at the Antico Caffè San Giorgio visitors can expect to be offered a Welcome Drink of the famous Vino alla Mandorla (almond wine) and in the morning a delicious breakfast is served. A few steps from the Villa begins the village old town, rich in small restaurants and typical trattories(eating houses), and cafes.

Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 11:00 at the inner hall or at the Antico Caffè San Giorgio terrace, with rich and fragrant hot beverages, juices and local delicacies.

Payment is made the morning of departure or, in case of departures prior to 8:00, the evening before the check out date.

“amazing views from our room”

We stayed for 2 nights at Villa Regina in September and couldn't say a bad word about the place. Breakfast was not provided with our package but was avaiable at the nearby bar. The staff in there were friendly and helpful and we would definitely recommend staying here as opposed to the very touristy Taormina. The views were amazing.

“Wonderful Place high above Taormina”

This family-run hotel (converted villa as is typical in Sicily) is a most pleasurable treasure. Wonderful breakfast at the Bar San Giorgio with splendid views of the sea. Personnel are exceptionally helpful, practical, and accommodating. A treat!

“Not for those with vertigo!”

The hotel was in a beautiful location, the room was lovely, and the view was stunning! However, don't go if you have a fear of heights or you can't cope with walking up/down hills and steps. There was hardly any flat land and there was a 300 ft drop from the balcony. The drive down from Castelmola to then go on to anywhere else was very steep, with big drops at the side of the roads. It was terrifying in a storm or thick fog (both of which we had!). However, the area is beautiful and the Roman remains and mosaics nearby are second to none.

“Breathtaking views - literally”

Our room (47) was large, clean and had 180 + degree views through large windows. We also had a balcony that afforded an even better view of Taormina below. The signage could be improved to reassure guests that they are on the right road! Staff spoke little English but are pleasant and helpful.
