Property Amenities
The Hotel (formerly the Tiffany) has a 1939 edifice and original terrazzo floors, but has been entirely re-envisioned by designer Todd Oldham. The result is colorful, highly stylized, yet comfortable. The jewel-toned lobby has original Deco-era circular windows, and a wooden barrier with palm trees separates the Inner Garden dining room from the reception area. Guests--sometimes famous--come for the details, which include an egg-shaped banquette in green velvet and a mosaic-glass mirror in shades of gold. The Wish bar has a playful Moorish design.
Aside from an excellent location one block from the ocean in a South Beach shopping strip, the Hotel distinguishes itself with a rooftop pool featuring an unobstructed ocean view. Several cabanas line the intimate pool area with massage services available.
The Hotel of South Beach provides two beach chairs for two guests per room. Massage services are available in guestrooms and on the pool deck. Guests receive a discount on treatments at the nearby Le Spa Lancome.
Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel. A business center and meeting room are on site, and additional meeting space is available in the Kenneth Cole building across the street, owned by the hotel.
An on-site gift shop sells signature items by Todd Oldham. An elevator leads to a rooftop pool and fitness center.
Rooms
The Hotel of South Beach offers 73 nonsmoking guestrooms in a four-story building. Gem-inspired lights glow with room numbers in the hallways. Rooms include a flat-panel TV with cable service and an iPod docking station. Guestrooms are all nonsmoking.
Guestrooms are petite but carefully designed, with custom-made furnishings. Todd Oldham's influence is everywhere, from the skinny closets framing window seats to pale-ash desks, mosaic handles, and tie-dyed bathrobes. Mirrors create space and windows are double-paned.
Beds have Frette bedding with satin-ribboned pillows. Bathrooms feature multi-colored, airbrushed bathroom tiles, fogless makeup/shaving mirrors, rainhead showers, and White Company of London bath products.
Wireless Internet access is complimentary for guests with a wireless card. Complimentary copies of The New York Times are delivered and housekeeping is provided.

Recreation
This Collins Avenue hotel offers one of the only rooftop pools in South Beach with an unobstructed ocean view. The striped sundeck is petite in size and its emerald-shaped pool is 12 ft x 35 ft. Cabanas offer massage services. One end of the pool includes jets, making it a quasi-spa tub.
Adjacent to the pool deck is a small fitness center, also with an ocean view. Another small deck is used for yoga classes on Saturday mornings (subject to change without notice).
A block from The Hotel of South Beach is Lummus Park and the beach, where two beach chairs are provided for two guests per room. The hotel can help arrange water-sports equipment rentals.
Flamingo Park offers tennis courts and a public pool. Windsurfers head to Hobie Beach, golfers go north to Bayshore Golf Course, and helicopter and airplane flightseeing is available from Watson Island.

“Great location...boutique hotel in SoBe”
Just returned from a 4 night stay and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in a great location...one block from great restaurants and the beach. The hotel has an arrangement with one of the beach chair companies on the beach and we were provided with two comfortable cushioned beach chairs and towels. The staff are exceptional. The rooftop pool is great as is the bar and restaurant. One note... I recommend the valet parking service which was $25/day. Parking would have been a challenge otherwise. The staff had my car ready for me on short notice and were always pleasant and accomodating. The staff also provided great recommendations for restaurants. I can't wait to return!
“It'd be tough to beat The Hotel!”
I suspect it'd be very tough to beat the value of The Hotel. The location is perfect, especially if your room isn't adjacent to the stairway or Collins Ave. (both might be noisy). Our room faced another building and it was quiet. The rooms are smal (not tiny), but charming. We had a single queen-sized bed in our room. There were two good sized closets, lots of storage drawers (dresser and built-ins), a large safe, iron/board, umbrella (not needed!), two side tables, small desk, etc. The room & bathroom were well lit. The bathroom is smaller, too. The furnishings and design are quite nice in the room and bathroom. The bed, pillows and sheets were quite comfortable. The room was clean, but I suppose there isn't much that can be done with mostly yellow/gold carpeting - it shows stains. Additionally, as in even some of the finest hotels, there was an accumulation of dust atop the light fixture in the bathroom and a few other places, if you cared to look (a once or twice per year wipe-down would fix this). The staff was great, smiles and great services from all. The heated pool is an incredible bonus that should not be missed. The entire menu is excellent an so were the wines that we tried. Happy Hour from 6-9 pm means 30% off the entire check, including food. Very comfortable chair and towel service on the beach is included at no cost. A sun umbrella is $12 and well worth it. In and out garage parking is one block away for $15 per day or valet in front for $25. We will return.
“Loved it!”
I loved this hotel! The room was one of the quietest I've ever stayed in, and the staff were the friendliest I've encountered. Everything is close by. Only thing I would have liked is a coffee maker in my room, but I managed just fine without it. I will definitely stay here again next time.
“Great hotel”
Very welcoming and friendly staff. Overall, the roam was comfortable, cozy, and clean. The service was exellent.
“Miami Beach”
Had a great stay, very friendly helpful place. Nice and relaxing away from the busyness of Miami Beach
“I want to stay again and longer”
I checked in Late from a delayed flight and was greeted by Ernesto with a smile who grabbed my bags and took me to front desk and then to my room. the hotel was beautiful. the front desk staff was awesome and polite and friendly.
“Great value, incredibly service.”
Great value! Incredibly attentive and helpful service -- room was serviced throughout the day and lobby staff amazingly helpful. Last year we stayed at a hotel that cost twice as much and had to keep calling to get the room serviced each day! Room is well laid-out with lots of storage and bath, although small, is very functional. Would definitely stay there again.
“South Beach Gem: Service will bring you back!”
I was a little weary after reading all the reviews on this hotel because many complained of noise. I didn't hear a thing to complain about! I was so impressed with the staff especially Jim and Esteban who waited on us hand and foot with our luggage. They provided pointers for enjoying Miami and made us feel so welcome. I felt like I had lived there for ages even though we were there for only 4 days. The only drawback is the bathrooms are tiny and no tub to soak in after a day at the beach. But that was okay because the rooftop pool with jacuzzi was enough relaxation. Location was key-no taxis needed to get anywhere! I will be back, so it is not goodbye..but see you soon!
“Excellent Hotel”
This is an excellent hotel with a lot of charm. If you are looking for a view this isn't the place for you though. Most of south beach doesn't seem to have hotels directly on the beach and with a view so you may not miss it. The rooms were small but felt perfect because of how they were layed out and designed. The staff was incredible and the pool was tons of fun.
“Great Hotel, Great Location, Relax and Have Fun!”
We were really happy with our hotel choice. The hotel was in a great location. It was close to the beach, close to restaurants, shopping and nightlife. The staff in the hotel were really helpful, it seemed that anyone we talked to whether a concierge, barman or waiter had worked there for 8+ years. Their job satisfaction came out in the level of service and they were always attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the roof top pool in the day time and also the roof top bar in the evening. We also ate at the Wish restaurant at the hotel and enjoyed the best meal of our visit to Miami. I highly recommend the hotel to anyone going to South Beach.
