Hotel 32 32
4/10 Poor
"My wife and I stayed at this hotel for four nights and were very disappointed with our experience. The photos used online appear to be heavily edited and did not accurately represent the condition of the hotel. The lobby and guest room looked significantly different from what was advertised. The refrigerator in our room was also problematic. The freezer compartment was completely frozen over, and the ice inside was dirty. We reported the issue, but it was never addressed during our stay. Another major issue was that there was only one small elevator serving a 17-floor hotel, resulting in frequent delays and inconvenience. The only ice machine was located on the roof. To access it, guests had to take the elevator to the top floor and then walk up another level into what appeared to be a maintenance area. The rooftop contained air-conditioning equipment, building materials, and other structures, making it seem unsafe and inappropriate for guest access. We were surprised that guests were expected to go there simply to get ice. My wife and I seriously considered leaving and finding another hotel, but because we had already paid for our stay, we decided to remain. This was our first experience using Hotels.com, and we expected the property to accurately reflect the listing. Unfortunately, our stay did not meet those expectations, and we left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied."

10/10 Excellent
"This is a nice hotel. When getting 2 beds the rooms are more spacious. Very easy access to everything I wanted to do. We walked a lot but we also took the subway and the bus."

Arlo NoMad
8/10 Good
"My son and I were traveling and wanted two beds. In NYC that is difficult to find in a boutique hotel for a reasonable rate, but we found cute bunk bed options at Arlo online. The pictures were way better than the actual room. We didn't ever see the sun, we were facing other buildings with zero view. The room was tiny, which is to be expected but it felt even smaller by the lack of light. It was also 2 feet from the elevators and a door that staff went in and out of all day long. That was a bummer as we even requested a room that didn't feel like we were late to check in as our plane had delayed us 6 hours. There was no way to plug in any tools in the bathroom so I requested an extension cord and they showed up with a power strip, gaining me about 4 more inches toward the bathroom mirror to get ready each day. There is no full length mirror either. It truly felt like the room they save for people they don't like. We made the most of it. The cafe was closed our first 2 of 5 days due to lack of staff, so they offered free drip coffee, it was actually really good. Then when the staff returned, it was $7/cup. I asked for two iced lattes on our 3rd and 4th days. The women working killed it. Delicious. The guy who worked there threw iced coffee in a cup and called it a latte. It was terrible. The staff was nice. I really like the area but probably wouldn't book Arlo again. It just felt like a place to sleep."

"POD 39 met all our expectations. They have a convenient location, small but very comfortable rooms, helpful and super friendly front desk ladies, and great coffee in the morning and drinks on the rooftop terrace. We can't wait to stay again."
