“great hotel convenient to Milan Centrale train station”
great hotel within walking from Milan Centrale train station, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet, the staff was helpful and the breakfast buffet was the best we had in our 2 weeks stay in Italy.
“Very nice”
We were only there overnite, but were very satisfied. Room excellent, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast delicious. Definitely would go back
“A good value hotel experience”
I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel as I was on a business trip but paying personally for the weekend nights. This hotel is very good value - just a few minutes from the central station and metro, clean, friendly, complimentary soft drinks in room... would certainly stay there again
“I highly recommend this hotel.”
I now understand why this hotel is an Expedia Insiders' Select Hotel. The room rates are very fair, and the staff is extremely courteous and helpful. The hotel is ideally located. It is a 10 minute walk to the bus going to the airport. It is a 5 minute walk to the train station, which is ideal for anyone taking trains to other cities in Italy. It is a 3 minute walk to the nearest Metro station, which connects you with the Duomo and historic center. I had a single room, which was very clean and comfortable. However, it was the size of my college dormitory room. The size didn't bother me because when I am traveling, I spend very little time in my room. However, "finicky" travelers might find the room a little small. I would recommend that they book a double room, which I stayed in on my second visit to the Hotel Berna.
“Great Hotel”
We were upgraded to an Executive room which was very comfortable. The breakfast had the most comprehensive range and the staff were extremely efficient. The location was good being close to the Centrale station and within walking distance of the Duomo and main sights. Well recommended.
“Would stay again”
We were very happy with our stay at the Hotel Berna. The staff were very courteous and helpful, the rooms were very comfortable and the hotel is located in an excellent position, with restaurants close by and Central Station only a short walk away, so access to the city centre was very easy. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
“Good location, excellent service, great hotel overall”
I read all the positive reviews and sometimes they don't meet the reality. But this hotel exceeded my expectations, the service was excellent, the breakfast delicious, the rooms (wooden floor) and bathrooms very clean. The location was perfect, very close to the metro and the train central station.
“Quiet, convenient, and helpful”
We stayed two nights in late October. We were upgraded to a superior room, which was very well appointed, but tight. The fixtures and furnishings seemed updated and very comfortable. Our room was on the interior, and was quite quiet. Although hallways were small and the rooms seemingly close together, we did not hear anyone else. The service was outstanding. We received a great deal of cordial help on directions, phone calls to restaurants, etc., and helpful services like being able to charge airport shuttle bus tickets to the room. The hotel does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner. However, it provides a room service/light dinner menu which it provides from a nearby caterer. The hotel does have an elaborate and tasty breakfast buffet served in a separate dining area, which we missed the second morning due to our early flight. We asked for something to take with us, but the "box breakfast" did not have anything fresh in it except fruit. The lounge for drinks and snacks was quite comfortable, though small. Coffee, tea and bottled water was available to hotel quests in an area off the lobby. Although a very compact hotel in most respects, we found it very comfortable and friendly. Finally, it is convenient, only a short walk from the central train station, where the shuttle bus from Malpensa airport brought us.
“convenient, clean and cool”
We spent one night in Milan in transit. The Bernia was extremely convenient to the railros station and airport bus. Personnel were helpful and pleasant, the room was sizable by Italian standards with a good bed, bath, TV and closet space. Air conditioning worked and was controlled in the room (not always the case in Europe). Free internet access. We recommend highly.
“Brilliant hotel”
Great hotel. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and every one of them had a smile on their face. Fantastic breakfast with plenty of choice but if there was something else you wanted the staff would get it for you if it was possible. A big plus was the free soft drink mini-bar + an area in one of the lounges with tea, coffee and still and sparkling water. Would certainly go back without hesitation. We decided on the hotel partly because of the reviews and certainly weren't disappointed.
