Starhotels E.c.ho. was reopened in September 2011 after a complete renovation. Guests can start the day with a hot and and cold buffet breakfast, including the hotel's speciality home-made pastries. Staff at the concierge desk can then provide information on how to get around the city using the transport links at the Centrale station opposite,
Active guests can work out in the hotel's fitness centre.
Business travellers can make use of the six meeting rooms which cater for between 22 and 110 people. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas.
The hotel can provide food and eating bowls for pets (on request and by prior arrangement), and secure onsite parking is available for a surcharge.

The seven-floor Starhotels E.c.ho. has 143 eco-friendly guestrooms and suites, all of which feature modern decor and are lit by Murano glass wall lamps. The walls of each room are adorned with black-and-white images of historic Milan, along with full-length mirrors. Modern amenities include 32-inch LCD TVs with satellite channels and pay movies, direct-dial telephones, wireless Internet access (surcharge), minibars, and mechanised window shutters. Tiled bathrooms come equipped with complimentary toiletries, hair dryers and showers or bathtubs.

Orto - The bright Orto restaurant features ample windows and 2 walls with murals, backlit to represent the changing light of the day. Large light fixtures made with thin leaves of wood, almost transparent, look like petals of flowers. The menu offers dishes using fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables.

“Modern and Chic”
Recently refurbished to a high standard, booked a family room which was a junior suite and a deluxe room combined, gave us our own little apartment in Milan! Coveniently located to Centrale station which has links to Rome and Venice. Only criticism is that the hotel's breakfast buffet could have more choices in hot food, but otherwise a very comfortable and modern hotel!
“Great Hotel - less than one year old eco-friendly”
The hotel staff was quite friendly, pleasant, very helpful and ready to give you tips for local restaurants, etc. I have been to Milan many times and was not interested in staying near Il Duomo area (though a few stops from hotel on the metro). The hotel is located near the Central Station for quick day trips by rail out of town, or easy access to Milan's metro, which allowed me tour the various districts within Milan. The city has a lot of hidden treasures and great places to eat - I suggest getting a very cool guide book like, Knopf Mapguides: Milan or Milano Futuro a Guide to Milan at its best i.e. try Bagutta for dinner.

“Couldn't Be Happier”
Desk staff were very professional and willing to help with any queries. Great buffet breakast, in particular catering for my gluten intolerance. Very comfortable lounge area with unexpectected range of small snacks provided with drinks. Very close to Milano Centrale Station - no taxi needed, Highly recommend. Very soft and comfortable pillows !
“NEW HOTEL”
I loved this new hotel. It has only been open for one month so everything is brand new. The rooms are good size. The breakfast was great. The hotel is right across the street from the main trainstation and metro. This means that you do feel the hotel shack when the trains go underneath. This could be a problem if you go to sleep early. The later it got the less frequent the trains run. If I return to Milan I would stay at this hotel again!

The hotel was recently renovated so the hotel is in great condition. The room is about average size not too big. I loved the rain shower in the bathroom.The location is good since it is 2 minutes walking distance to Milan Central Station which is convenient for underground metro and trains to other cities. We took the trains to Lake Como and Lake Maggiore but it is better to go to these places from March- October since most stores close are close after those months. The breakfast was excellent and it had varieties for everyone. The front desk staffs are helpful and friendly. We only allowed 30 minutes of free wi-fi each day in the lobby which was the only downside of the hotel service.
