“Not Bad”
The helpful desk attendant let us check in three hours ahead of regular check-in and saved us a lot of time to spend exploring the cities! As we were walking down the hall to our room, we passed through a number of interesting scents of cleaning supplies, eggs, and other foods. However, this was the only time we experienced the smells in our weekend stay at the Candlewood. It took a while to get used to the cooling system-it's the kind that 'knows' when you're in and out of the room. When the A/C fan was on, it cooled off the room momentarily and helped block out noise from the busy street outside our window. The free laundry facilities were a great help to us! For two college students on a limited budget and looking for a nice place to stay, the location of this Candlewood was prime for our vacation: 5-10 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and very near to food and other entertainment in Richfield and Bloomington! I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm back in the area.

Excellent location, close to Mall of America, Target Field, and everything else we wanted to see and do. The kitcken was great as was the store nook with everything you need and on the honor system. What a great concept. The BBQ was also an excellent plus. Free laundry another great convenience. Would definitly stay here again as well as check out there other locations
“Business Stay”
Our number one concern with traveling on business is being in a quiet hotel so we can get plenty of rest. We stayed 2 nights and slept well both nights. The beds were comfortable, the room was adequate in size. We liked having the full kitchen, although we didn't really use it much. There is shopping nearby and restaurants, and it's conveniently located close to the airport, MOA, and the MN Zoo for those looking to have fun. The hotel does not offer a breakfast but there is a nicely stocked pantry in which you can purchase food from it if you wish.

Beautiful suite - at the cost of a typical room! In fact, when I walked into my room my heart began to pound - I was sure I made an error and was afraid I had rented a room at misunderstood the room rate! I immediately went on-line to check my credit card and confirmed that I had, in fact, only paid the cost of a fairly low budget hotel room. A fully-stocked kitchen, living room, large bathroom and bedroom (with a door to close for privacy and its own closet). Down the hallway was a FREE laundry, work-out room and a small grocery store for treats and light snacks. Unbelieveable! I actually took pictures of this room and e-mailed it to friends because I could hardly believe my good fortune. I will ONLY stay here from now on when I want to have a get-away to go to the Mall of America and other twin cities treats. Only a mile or so the the MOA and airport.

Nice service and rooms. I always like a full kitchen to make meals rather than going out to eat. Free internet was great! VHS/DVD player in room and free movies to select from. Would have prefered a stove in the unit and a king size bed, which I don't think this hotel has (?) Overall, I had a great stay!
“Good for the price”
We enjoyed our stay at Candlewood. The desk staff were very pleasant. Only 2 complaints. Because the hotel is more like apartments rooms are cleaned once a week. I missed having the bed made each day. The second is my husband has allergies to cats and most dogs. They allow pets which caused my husband's allergies to flare up. The rooms appeared clean but the latent dander was still there.
“Work & Relax”
The room was perfect for both relaxing and watching HBO or working on the wireless internet and the large workspce available. I would recomend staying in a suite if there is more than one person. We Did and we had room to spare. Thanks for a great stay.
