“great low budget stay”

for the money this place was fine. Very close to the beach / boardwalk - we walked over with our 2 & 4 year old kids. The room was nothing special, but it was quiet and clean. We got a great deal on Expedia, last minute on Labor day weekend and had a blast. We did not stay in one of the remodeled rooms, so the older rooms could use some work, but again for what it was and what we paid it was great!

“Renovated Rooms Very Nice”

The hotel staff was very accomodating and upgraded my room to a newly renovated room that was much nicer than the room I stayed in previously. The king bed was comfortable and the large screen wall-mounted TV was enjoyable because the weather was poor I spent more time in my room than I normally would. My only complaint would be the jetted tub did not seem very clean and if it had been cleaner I would have had a bath. Bubble bath or samples of bath salts would have been a bonus to add to the jetted tub. I can't say enough about the front desk staff, they allowed me to cancel my second night and told me how to get my refund through Expedia. They allowed me to use the computer in the lobby. I have stayed at this hotel before and would stay again. The location is perfect- only a few blocks (no hills to climb) from the Wharf and Boardwalk and a nice walk to the old part of Santa Cruz with plenty of shops and restaurants.

I WAS IMPRESSD THE HOTEL IS LITLE BUT CLEAN , STAFF WERE VERY HELPFULL EVEN PUT MONEY ON THE METER TO AVOID A TICKET BUSSY WEEKEND ON MEMORIAL DAY..I WILL COME BACK AGAIN ,

Stayed here a couple nights ago. Great hotel and a good price. The room was recently remodeled and very nice. I'd recommend the bay front to anyone staying in santa cruz.

“Excellent budget motel in great location.”

The room was very clean and quiet. We had one of the older rooms (two queen beds) but it was fine: beds comfortable, microwave, fridge. Very dog friendly. Great location, near Boardwalk, pier and cute downtown. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was average, but coffee was excellent. Ample parking.

“My new Santa Cruz hotel!”

I booked my hotel at the last minute so didn't think I'd find anything great in SC. This place turned out to be surprising very nice! They are in the middle of a remodel and we got a new room. It had hardwood floors, a kitchen area, large bathroom, nice TV and comfy bed. I've stayed at many hotels in Santa Cruz but I think this will be the one I try to stay at in the future.

“Good value & location.”

Found the room to be very comfortable and clean for the price - good value. Didn't make use of the pool but it looked very inviting. Didn't have any problem with parking. The location was great, we walked to the boardwalk nearby and also out to the end of the pier to have dinner - we liked Riva's. We will definitely return.
