“The best choice in Santa Cruz for family fun.”
Great location near skatepark, can ride to bmx bike park. Ten minute walk to the beach, hotel is in a mellow area, can walk to downtown restaurants too. The continental breakfast was great, awesome waffle bar. Two spas and heated pool. Family and pet friendly. Very relaxing. When we arrived, we noticed this was the nicest hotel near the beach.

“A deffinate must!”
The hotel was pleasant. It has a balcony in many rooms and reminds me of going backwards in time- sometimes thats a good thing. IIts very 70's status (yellow interior, waterfall, floors, elevator#. The room was clean, well made, tv is regular #not flat screen), has a refridge, microwave, kind of romantic- i dont know why but i was thinking charlies angels while there. Its a walk to the beach- very close by. Good amount of cable channels, nice pool and hot tub. Continental breakfast- you better get there early- people were lining up for this. common stuff- waffles, pastries, cereal, juice. Many people were staying there so its really not that bad of a stay. I enjoyed it- would go back for sure!
“Good for the price”
The manager was really, really nice. The only thing I have to say is they need to get new blankets. The ones they have are so old and scratchy and worn out. They maybe could do some crack repair and painting in the bathrooms. In the room where some of my party was staying, the shower didn't work. In my bathroom, it took a good 5 minutes to get hot water the first day but after that it was ok.
“EXCELLENT”
Great location, we could walk to the beach and down town, really no reason to drive once we checked in, The pool was clean and the condition of the hotel was excellent. My husband said the bed a too hard, however I had no problems. We were greeted and checked in with a warm welcome, the gentleman who checked us in even remembered who I was from my phone call a few days earlier, now that's great customer service!
“It was fine”
No problems at all. The hotel was a bit run down cosmetically, but clean. Service, including the continental breakfast was better than expected. A fine reasonably priced stay.
“Great Breakfast and Easy walk to Boardwalk”
Great staff, very friendly and homemade waffels were a hit with the kids. 5 min walk to the Boardwalk. Can't wait to stay there again.
“Not Impressed”
The motel location was great for the beach. Myself and a 6 year-old walked to the boardwalk every day carrying beach towels, sand chairs, umbrella, backpack and beach toys. I thought we would need to get a cab back to the motel, but we were able to walk back, with all that stuff, comfortably. However, the room was noisy and the mattress was hard. We were able to hear people walking above us, and could also hear noise from the room next door. But, we spent very little time in the room and when we did return, we were so tired, we fell right to sleep. The manager was great. When my 6 year-old threw up all over the bathroom one evening, the manager came and cleaned up the mess. Overall, I would stay there again. The price was within my budget and I was able to have spending money. We had a great time! Thanks Expedia.
“Good value”
It was pretty good. Make your own waffles for breakfast, they were very good!
